This complaint is regarding a NON REFUNDALBLE rental application FEE (not a deposit) that was charged by the LANDLORD who owns the property that he applied to rentTenant Check does NOT charge the applicants a feeThe decision to charge a fee and the amount that they charge is SOLELY the
purview of the landlordWe are a third party company providing services to landlordsOne of the services is an online application and a portal to collect the fee that our clients charge the applicantsWe are ONLY providing a convenience to our clients when we collect the fee for themMr *** has already called the landlord and been reminded that it is a non refundable feeMr*** has also called Tenant Check twice and has been told that we have nothing to do with the decision to change a feeI personally spent over minutes on the phone during Mr ***'s second call providing information and advice out of the goodness of my heart and am disappointed and disgusted that he would then file this bogus complaint against usWe cannot refund a fee that we didn't chargeHis argument is with the landlord where he applied
