Review: I have taken two vehicles to this business to have repairs.one of which I was charged $565 and was made pay such amount being told the diagnosis was a bad catalytic converter which was actually incorrect,they charged me $55 to give me this wrong diagnosis and then around $450 to replace the catalytic converter,which none of this fixed the vehicle.then I was charged to replace the fuel filter and run multiple other test,only to have them request me let them charge me a few more hundred dollars to go into other parts of the car.I declined after having to pay $565 dollars for a false diagnosis and unnecessary reapairs.I also have another vehichle in which I let them "change the valve cover gaskets".well yesterday I took this vehichle to have another issue looked at but asked the repair shop to check why I may still be smelling burning oil.the mechanic at this point told me oil was pouring from both valve cover gaskets in wich I had gotten replaced around a year and a half before,I mentioned the repair to the mechanic and he said he looked as if it had never been touched!this business has taken advantage of me charging me over a

Thousand dollara for faulty services.this is despicable and needs to be addressed properly!Desired Settlement: I would like this company to be investigated and acknowledged for such acts against myself as a young woman being taken advantage of,and I would like the money they have taken from me for faulty services!

Ms. [redacted] came into the shop on Friday, November 28, 2014. She requested the records for work performed on her 1995 Isuzu Trooper. I asked her if there was an issue and she said she was having someone take a look at something else on the vehicle and he told her the valve cover gaskets were leaking. She said she had noticed that but thought it wasn't much to worry about. She asked if the valve cover gaskets had any warranty. I called our supplier and asked about any warranty and they stated they did not have a manufacturer warranty. I told her our warranty was 1 year on labor (our invoice states 60 day parts/labor warranty on parts purchased and installed by us). The total on the valve cover replacement job was $382.90. The other $175.73 included was for a separate repair that Ms. [redacted] said nothing about and apparently had no complaints with. The repairs were completed in June of 2013. This was this first time she had brought this matter to our attention. I told her to bring the vehicle by and let us check it out to see if it was something minor or if it was maybe something else. The repairs were over 1 1/2 years old and could have possibly worked some valve cover bolts loose. She left with another female and said not to worry about it. She also asked to have a copy of repairs done to her Focus. She said she had traded it for another vehicle since no one could get it fixed. Ms. [redacted] had stated she had some other people look at the vehicle and they could not figure out what was wrong. Ms. [redacted] brought in her 2000 Ford Focus on February 7, 2014 for a hard start, rough idle, and loss of power. We ran diagnostic and found the catalytic converter was stopped up. The converter was coming apart and making noise. Advised Ms. [redacted] that the converter would have to be replaced first because it affected the performance of the vehicle before any other diagnostic could be done. We replaced the converter and still had some issues. We ran several diagnostics (fuel pressure idle & driving - ok, removed fuel rail and checked for excessive water - ok, removed fuel injectors- screens clear and pulsing normal, checked compression - ok). The next step was to check the timing. Advised customer the possibility of the timing belt damaging engine. Customer declined further diagnosis. Customer was kept abreast on all actions and diagnosis and was approved by her before any work was completed. Total on work performed for the 2000 Focus was $565.00. On Saturday, November 29, 2014 I received a call stating that [redacted] had gone to [redacted] and started a conversation about Twin County Tire and was filing a complaint with the Revdex.com.I feel that Twin County Tire has done nothing to take advantage of or discriminate against Ms. [redacted] in either instance. Both repairs were completed and Ms. [redacted] did not show any signs of concern or discontent at time of delivery. The valve cover repair had been over 1 1/2 years since completion and Ms. [redacted] did not one time call or come by for us to check any concerns related to this vehicle. The offer was made to her for us to check out the concern to which she declined. I do believe her approach in going to social media ([redacted]) to try and validate her claim was uncalled for and disparaging toward Twin County Tire.
