Twin Locust Barns, Incorporated Reviews (2)

Review: We purchased a shed/barn from Twin Locust Barns. It was a prefabricated unit and they were to prepare the foundation, which required site exaction, installing stones, place and level the shed. There was no mention and/or advice of the disposal of the excavation debris other than using it to level the area.

The Twin Locust person used a Bobcat mini track loader that left trail damage across the yard during the transporting of the gravel to the shed site. They performed an inadequate task of leveling the excess material and left us with an area of 16’ by 16’ with lumps of grass and dirt. We would have paid to have it removed. What they did was dump the excess material in front of the man-door entrance. I contacted Twin Locust, left a message and have not received a response.Desired Settlement: We had a landscaper review the damaged area and we have spent $100.00 for 3 yards of topsoil and other $300.00 for labor and seeding material. We would like Twin Locust to adjust their last payment to compensate us the $400.00 for the additional work and cost to repair the damage lawn.

Twin Locust Barns was able to reach [redacted] via phone and reach a resolution to this issue.

Review: Store is a shed and barn company. Online terms and conditions for "rent to own " state that the monthly rental payment is calculated from the delivered storage shed using a 24 or 36 month terms you have chosen. (Example, if you choose the 24 mo payment plan and the total cost of your product, including taxes and delivery if applicable, is $2400,your monthly payment will be $100.00 a month.) Its that easy! However, when I called the company to set up a "rent to own " payment plan on a shed of $3600. the company told me the deposit was $500 security and delivery charge and the monthly payment was $182.00 a month for 36 months. Totaling $7052.00. I asked him why the Online payment plan didn't warrent what he explained over the phone. He then went on the web site and confirmed with me what his site stated and he then said to me that he didn't want to to business with me because I questioned he website advertisement. He said "it was a typo ". I stated how could an entire paragraph be a typo mistake. He then hung up the phone on me.Desired Settlement: I would like a written agreement of terms explaining the difference between the website and the companies explaination over the phone.

Response:

I remember this phone call. There was no hanging up the phone on anyone. The numbers used in this complaint are incorrect, and exaggerated. Yes the web page had incorrect info, and I immediately shut down the page for repair.
