This is in response to a letter that we received through your office from a [redacted] ***ID [redacted] I was not rude to [redacted] , she called right in the middle of our busiest time and I told her I would have to get back with her regarding the possible Double Charge I asked her if her account showed a charge or an authorization for the amount in questions($83.26) She was not sure and just said it was charged I explained to her that we could have made a mistake and charge the card twice but if it was only authorized and voided off her bank would hold that authorization on her account for three business day and it would drop off She was up-set and didn’t like my response I checked our batched credit cards later and could not find a double charge for the amount in question ($82.26) so that showed us that it was only authorized and not charged I sent out two emails explaining that she was not charged twice but no response A few days later I called and asked her why she didn’t respondShe said the charge dropped off and there was no problem any more In todays world where people have access to their bank accounts anytime, all businesses run into problems like thisMany people do not know how to read their accounts and see if amounts are charged or just authorizedUnfortunately if a card is authorized and voided off, all banks hold that authorization on the account until it drops off which is unfortunate for the consumer because that amount of money is not available to them until it does drops off, normally in three business days depending on the bankIf you have any question please give me a call Thank you [redacted] GM/Twin PeaksSacramento, ca[redacted]

I received a complaint id#*** in regards to *** *** allegations of fraud. This is the first I have heard of any of his accusations. Usually in the past if there has ever been an issue/dispute regarding a credit card tip or unusual charge, I receive a letter from the
guests credit card provider where I send them a copy of the original credit card receipt. I would be more than happy to do the same for this gentleman as well. I just need the details of his visit/transaction like the date of the visit. The amount, and the last of the credit card number with the type of card. (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, etc..)

Which frankly is theftYou can see that wings were added and there was actually another charge when I first brought this up, but the bartender quickly removed it and tried to pass this onI have two receipts ran within minutes of each other because I called this matter to attentionI've provided them as an attachmentFurthermore, I have visited this place ~times in the past few months and now realizing there could be a multitude of charges in this mannerI don't accept this answer and would like a further review. This is in response to Mr ***s recent displeasure to my suggestion back. I don't have the slightest idea of what he is talking about as I WAS NOT the alleged manager who dealt with this issue. I do see where the wings were taken off the final bill, but this does not mean it was fraud, as it could have simply been an honest mistake where we made it right in the end. As for why he was kicked out of the restaurant I will have to follow up with Paul, who I believe if memory serves me correct was the manger on duty as being open for over a year, we have only had to ask less than guest to do so. I also do not have the original complaint in front of me, but only have his response to my initial reply to the incident, so I am not 100% sure of the allegations either but again would like to make this right in the end, I just need all the facts to do so. I can see form the attachments that his original bill was for $100, but he was only charged for $79.30. My original reply is below

Looking at our records, I could not find a charge for $50.06 therefore I would think that the final bill you received for $20.29 was the charge to your credit card. If I am incorrect, please let me know and I will dive into it further but I will need a little more information from you to locate the credit card that was charged specifically and search our electronic database to see if an error occurred on our side.
 
We are a new location and have some growing pains that we have experienced with new staff and exceptional opening business. I am hoping that your first two visits were closer to the experience we wanted you to have. Although our new-ness is not any way an excuse, we never want any customer of ours to leave with such a poor experience.
