I was very impressed with the mandolin demonstration at Walmart and I bought one for over $40, after all, if it could dice an onion...But when I got my mandolin out of the box, it wasn't the same as the one at the demonstration. His had two handles to turn to change blades and mine only has one. His turned easily but with mine, I have to lift up on the plastic "bed" to get the blades to turn. When I use it, I like it but it isn't the same as the one in the store and it would be REALLY nice if it would turn easily. Also, I have had it for about two weeks and since the first night, I haven't been able to get on their website because they are "doing work on the site". Don't know how else to complain :-(

Review: I found this product to be a scam a bait n switch , a few months ago a representative was demonstrating how sharp their knives were at [redacted] in [redacted] slicing a tomato very thinly , loaves of bread etc , my complaint is his knives were much sharper than the ones sold in the package aka JUNK ! one knife was free but I bought their package several knives $39.95 ,I say this is bait n switch as his knives cut better / sharper than than he lead the public to believe , I am sure this company sets up these presentations around the country at festivals , flea markets, [redacted] etc !Desired Settlement: I am seeking a full refund and a BUYER BEWARE status on this company , save your money and stop buying their JUNK ! yes JUNK !

Review: I purchased a food-slicer from a sales associate with Twin Towers Trading and within a few times of using the product pieces of brittle plastic began flaking off of the slicer and were discovered in the food my family has been eating. Both my wife and daughter have had some issues with their digestive tracts which may be a result of the sharp pieces of plastic from the slicer being in the food being eaten. I have written a total of 3 emails to Twin Towers, sent 2 messages via their website "contact us" link and have called a customer service representative to discuss having the product replaced. During the phone call, at no point was the representative showing any concern about the potential health issues of my family from the defective slicer and when I inquired about the guarantee she said that if I paid to send back the defective product a new one would be sent to me. My complaint is two-fold: (1) - Why is customer service not taking action to determine how severe my family's current health is due to ingesting sharp pieces of plastic from a defective product (used correctly). (2) - Why should I have to PAY to ship this defective product back to them.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate a reply to ANY of my attempts to contact Twin Towers; with both a genuine concern about my family's health and to offer a replacement slicer (at no additional cost to me). A guarantee that a replacement product won't shred broken pieces of plastic into prepared foods as well (again, used the correct way).

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I would still offer a word of caution regarding the product to the general public as it may cause health issues as sharp pieces of plastic spar off of the deck near the cutting surface.

Review: The product, the Pro Smart machine, is defective. A part of the machine near the cutting blade broke while I was cutting food. I called the company and was told to send back the product and they would send a replacement. In the lifetime guarantee that came with the product it states: " We guarantee all of our products to last you for a life of use. If any of our products should ever not work properly, become damaged or dull even if the damage is your fault TT Trading will send you a replacement ABSOLUTELY FREE." There is no statement that says that I must pay the shipping to send the product back or that I will have to pay to have the replacement shipped to me. But C/S told me to send a check for $5 with the product AFTER I paid the shipping to get the product to them in the first place!Desired Settlement: If they want to see where the defect is, I have no problem with that. But C/S rep never stated anything else except what I have mentioned. I even repeated all of the above and she verified that that was what I needed to do. (I have dealt with companies that say keep the product, we'll just ship you a new one.) T T Trading 's policy and their advertising needs to be stated clearly to say what they mean. I liked the product but I am leery of use a product that has part of the "housing" defective. I want a new one!

They were also very gracious and listened to my "tale of woe". I believe that all parties were ok with the outcome. Just awaiting the refund check. Thank you for your prompt action.
