I am rejecting this response because:First of all, why is this person responding to a complaint when he is no longer employed by the business. Second, this person is lying. I never said a word after the job was performed and did not realize the business lied to me until after I got home. There is no possible way I was irate when I went to pick up my car if I did not know what was really happening. Third, the brakes were not 1/32th of an inch thick, I had this verified by another auto repair shop. When I noticed they only replaced the front brake pads and rotors (which they needed to do for a discount since they had replaced the front brakes and rotors months before and I have paperwork for it, the owner said the parts were bad) I called to ask why they told me they would do the entire job for $250 yet only the front was done, the man told me the back brakes did NOT need replaced. I would not go through this much hassle if the business and owner would not have lied to me and told me up front they were doing ONLY the front. I would have checked prices elsewhere. I had been coming here for a couple years with no problems and liking the business for being honest. Fourth, I never returned to say my back brakes squealed, I told them that the first and only time I went in there. Lastly, unless this person goes by the name of [redacted] Then they would have no way of knowing what happened. I only spoke to [redacted]., no mechanics or any other person. If this is [redacted]., I do not understand how you are comfortable lying to a customer.

June 13,2014Dear Sir or madam:In response to [redacted]s letter of complaint, the car needed front and rear brakes. he had 132 of an inch on his rear brakes (which fails Maryland safety inspection). The front rotors and pads were too thin also and needed to be changed. I called...

him with anestimate and he did not want to spend that much money. I agreed to replace the front brake pads and rotors for $250.00, which is a very reasonable price. He came to pick up the car and return the used parts. He then returned and said his brakes squealed. I told him that he needed rear brakes. He became irate. I do not recall anyone being disrespectful or rude to him. I am sorry that his car needs work. I disagree with him that cars should not have the brakes replaced only after 100,000 miles. Again I am sorry, but I had already discounted the repair $100.00.The repairs that we performed were done properly, I do not understand why he wants a refund. Additionally I am no longer employed at Twinbrook Sunoco and the Station changed ownership in March 2014.Yours truly

Review: Twinbrook Sunoco has an auto repair shop. I took my car in to get the brakes looked at because they were squeaking. After the examination, the owner of the business told me that my front brakes were completely gone and the back brakes were 1/32 of an inch thick (meaning both my back and front brakes replaced) and charged me outrageously for the repairs ($500). When I negotiated with him, he agreed to the job for $250 because they had replaced the brakes only a year ago. I took my car in the next day. I asked that they box up the old parts and put them in my trunk. I waited across the street for my car. Hours later when they finished, I went in to pick up the car. The owner was unreasonably rude and disrespectful because he said he was not done with the paper work yet. When I got the car and got home, I look through the parts and noticed only one set brakes in the box. I called and spoke with the owner asking him where the other parts were. The owner then tells me the back brakes did not need replaced. He would not do the back brakes. If he had told me they were only doing the front brakes I would have went somewhere else. The owner was rude and disrespectful again when I tried to inquire about the brakes getting done. A few days later the brakes started squeaking again so we took the car into another shop ( I can't trust Twinbrook Sunoco with my car anymore) and the mechanics let me see the whole process. They looked at the back brakes and said they are fine and will still last a very long time. They said Hyundai rear brakes last 100,000 miles (I have only 93000 miles and Twinbrook Sunoco deceitfully said they needed replaced twice now). They cleaned the back brakes and that took care of the squeaking. (Sunoco claimed they had cleaned the back brakes but that was clearly a lie because after the second shop cleaned them, they haven't squeaked since). The owner of Sunoco is very sneaky, rude, and deceitful. He lies to customers and charges outrageous prices and mistreats your vehicle if you try to change the price, even if it is their fault that the car needs repaired so soon. The brakes were never 1/32 of an inch and will last much longer. I still have the invoice that has "note car has no brakes" written on it.Desired Settlement: I would like to have my money back for this "repair." Since I found out that the back brakes did not need replaced, I really have no idea if the owner lied about the front brakes needed replaced as well. They could've only needed cleaned like the back brakes. And if he told me they would only be replacing the front brakes, I could have went somewhere else I will not let Sunoco touch my vehicle again because they clearly cannot be trusted and the owner cons people. He cheated me to get my money.

Dear Sirs:

PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!

On September 20091 exchanged my old car of 15 years for a Mazda 3-2010. I had bought an insurance for maintenance of the car which lasted until April 23,2013. At this point the car had 34,127 miles. The dealer had ad viced me that the front brakes should be replaced. They were charging me too much and so, of course, I started shopping for the least expensive deal.

On January 3,2013 1 went to the gas station “Twinbrook Sunoco” located at [redacted] MD [redacted]. There I met [redacted] who told me he is an expert doing this type of work. At that point he examined the breaks and told me I could still drive the car for at least 4,000 more miles before I had to change them and that he could do the job for $130.00(Attachment #1).

On MAY 8,2013 I took the car to Sunoco Gas Station for [redacted] to do the work.

When I went to pick up the car at about 1:30 p.m. the price had gone up to $325.00 (see attachment #2). As you can see apparently the rotors had to be changed also.

Guess what? I picked up the car and went to pick up my two granddaughters from the school. I was astonished to hear a TREMENDOUS NOISE THAT CAME FROM THE FRONT OF THE CAR, as if the tires were going to fall off.

On MAY 8 I took the car back to the shop. [redacted] drove the car to assess the noise. Of course, brought it back to the shop, did something to it and told me it was OK. He told me the noise will disappear in maybe 2 days, and in his words, the noise was due to the fact that the breaks were new and the car had to adjust to this new breaks. At this point I asked [redacted] for the old parts taken from my car and he told me they had already been taken by the trash people.

As the noise did not subside, I went back to see [redacted] on MAY 20 with the same problem. He drove the car again to assess the noise, came back to the shop, did something to the front tires again. Then he took down one of the back tires and showed me that the rotors or I do not know what was rusty and that this was the cause of the noise. I said NO, the noise comes from the front of the car not from the back!!!!!!

At this writing the noise is still there, sometimes stronger than others, so much so that even people look at me when I am driving thinking that I am crazy to drive a car in such bad condition.Desired Settlement: What I think 1 want to do is, if you agree with me and if you can help me, to take the car to an authorize technician/shop referred to by you, so that somebody else can assess the reason for this awful noise, and if this can be fix, OF COURSE, I WANT SUNOCO TO PAY FOR WHATEVER EXPENSES MAY OCCUR TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM SOLVE.

I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THIS SHOP THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO NOISE AT ALL, and I took it only with the purpose of having the breaks changed,

I am sorry this became such a long letter but I understand, in order for you to have a clear opinion on the subject, you need all the details possible.

I appreciate very much your time and your advice. Am I suppose to send a copy of this letter to Sunoco gas station?

Thank you very much. I really hope you can help me with this.
