To whom it may concern, in regards to complaint # [redacted] from Customer [redacted] *** . I am genuinely upset that customer [redacted] *** would assume we did not perform any of the work he had paid for. He is and has been a very... good customer and has had a lot of work conducted at our business. I am first going to say I am sorry he would take his car to another business to have work performed but due to him moving out of state I completely understand. I would of liked for him to have given us a call and spoke with me if he ever had an issue with any of our work prior to filing a complaint thru the RevDex.com. With that being said, When I received this complaint message the first thing I did was call [redacted] to find out where he had came up with the information about the fuel pump not being installed and asked why he did not call and speak with me about his issue. The reason for this phone call was I did not want him to be miss lead and lied to from some other business. The fuel pump, and I quote, [redacted] said “ they never installed a new fuel pump that I was charged for” is a complete false statement and is upsetting that he would say something like that. I know for a fact that his fuel pump was replaced and was an upgraded fuel pump for his application. The reason I know it was replaced is because I am the one who removed the old pump and re installed the new Focus Pump in his old Pump Basket inside his fuel tank. We are not a shop who charges for work and does not perform the job. If the job is not going to be done correctly we will not do it period. As far as our phone conversation went he was misled by another shop that I believe is not qualified to do the job that he is trying to get done on his car at the present time. I asked *** about this issue and he responded to me the following statement, “ No idea how they know the pump was not replaced”, I then informed him the only way they can verify what work was done was to: 1. Remove the gas tank form the car. 2. Remove the top of the tank. 3. Remove the basket inside the tank. 4. Disassemble the assembly. 5. Remove the fuel pump. 6. Match up the numbers on the pump itself with another pump from Ford. None of the above was performed by the other shop whom told him it was not replaced. In addition to when his car left this facility he received his old parts to include his old Fuel Pump that we indeed replaced. He had nothing bad to say about any of the work performed while it was here and also told me everything was great and drove great with no problems. I spent a lot of time on the phone with him trying to help guide him on the modifications that are about to be done by the other shop. Trying to make sure he understands what needs to happen so he does not get misled. On the other topic of the tuning work and the charges for that We spoke about this as well and had to re-explain everything and the fees that were applied and why. The original quote for the tune work on the Chassis Dyno was $650.00 that was pre approved on the original estimate. I also have The original, filled out and signed ( By [redacted] ***) [redacted] that Clearly States all fees that apply with custom work and additional problems if and when they occur. He was fully aware of what the cost was going to be. During the calibration/ Tune work we had ran into other mechanical issues with the computer on his vehicle. We spent a lot more time than what he was quoted trying to figure out the issues and why his car was not responding to some of the calibration work. After countless hours/Days and phone calls back and forth with Azam I came to the conclusion we needed to replace the PCM (Main Computer) and retest. His response was ok. However, he did not want to buy one thru us he said he can get a used one cheaper and would get us one. After he spent some time looking for one he could not find the one he needed for the price range he wanted to spend. He asked me if the car could be driven? My answer was yes but, you cannot use your nitrous and the tune is not fully completed due to the Mechanical Issues that need to be corrected before the final tune can be finished. He agreed to bring it back after he found a Computer and we would load the final revisions of the tune work to recheck it to see if we are getting the correct responses we are commanding the computer to do. In addition to trouble shooting his car, I tried all of his previous tunes that he had from other shops every one of those tunes had the same Problem we were chasing. So, those tunes were never right either due to there being a mechanical problem and not a Tune/ Programming Problem. I advised him of that in person as well as on the invoice which he Initialed in 2 spots and signed during this conversation. I also explained to him that even though we had a lot more time in his car than what we are charging him. I took off $150.00 from the original Estimate for the tune work and trouble shooting his car even though he really owed a lot more money If we actually Charged him the Standard rate applied on the Dyno Waiver He read and signed for Mechanical problems. I also told him once he got a new computer I would do the final tunes for the Additional $150.00 he was quoted for a total of $650.00. All of this is documented and attached to this complaint. Signed and Initialed Invoices, Filled out and signed Dyno Tuning Waiver, a picture of the new Basket with the part number on it from where his new fuel pump was removed and installed in his original fuel pump basket. In addition to speaking to Azam he mentioned he wanted a bigger fuel pump than what we had installed. I told him we sized it for his application at the present time the car was here and not for massive amounts of more power he is trying to support now. I extended the offer that I would send him a bigger fuel pump to replace the one we installed back in March however, I need to have the pump we installed a few months ago back and he would need to pay the difference between those two and I would cover the shipping. He has not accepted or declined the offer. As for the refund he is fully aware that he is not getting a refund for the services that were Agreed, Rendered, Completed and paid for. Azam Is still a welcomed customer in our establishment despite the misleading false information that lead to this complaint. If he ever needs parts or help he is always welcome to call.
