Two Brothers Automotive Reviews (2)

Our car was butchered and returned in parts which we had to pay another repair shop to put together to find cause of problem.Had water pump leak, took to dealer but since had timing issue also, referred to Two Brothers Auto, [redacted] ([redacted], [redacted]). Before we could make appointment for this, on Sunday, 3/3/13 sounded like engine was coming out, so had car towed to Two Brothers. [redacted] ([redacted]) said he was 100% sure it was the engine and would bet his reputation on it. Warranty sent some one out but was not convinced motor so wanted it tore down. We authorized to tear down 3 times. We paid $400 first week, which we thought Two Brothers was taking motor out to prove it was motor. Not done, kept waiting for [redacted] ([redacted]) call, did not when finally reached him; he said he lost phone and our number but insisted it was motor and wanted $2,300 cash to do motor (Two Brothers does not take check or credit), we informed him for that much money has to be credit. Two Brothers kept trying to find a way to run credit through. By 3/23/13 we had enough and found another shop who could take credit, which wanted car in it's original shape when it was taken in. We called Two Brothers and explained we are taken our car and wanted in same shape as taken in, [redacted] informed us that he then wanted storage of $35 a day but said he would take $100 and we could have the car. We contacted tow company and went to get our 2003 Saturn Vue. Upon arrival saw pipe and belt hanging from underneath our car and rear license plate missing. [redacted] came out, asked for plate he said what plate, showed him. He said around some where, went to get it, when he came out with it he also brought parts he had taken off car and said would put in car for us, but we had to give $100 storage to some one we did not know before we could our key back, for [redacted], [redacted] left. We had to have car towed in tore down state to another repair shop, We had to pay another $300 to have our car back together to find out what was wrong with it. When the other auto repair shop put the car back together then found exhaust was cut instead unbolted and they had to weld it together and the bearings for connecting rod was missing and had to order that for us ($130) and the shield was missing and a punctured hole was found in serpentine belt. All this to just to find out issue with car was NOT THE ENGINE, IT WAS ONLY TIMING AND WATER PUMP MISSING A SEAL. Desired SettlementWe want following: $400 tear down fee(since our car was in pieces and had cut exhaust, missing bearing and shield and puncture in serpentine belt)$100 for storage (since butchering work)$130 for bearing (since we had to purchase one to car back together to find out issue with car-since was there originally)missing shield or equivalent value
