Two Brothers Flooring, Inc. Reviews (2)

Review: Without a doubt, the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We purchased a deal off of "Living Social" for a carpet cleaning. We spent over 2 weeks, 5 voicemail messages, and 5 emails, waiting to be contacted by the company to schedule out appointment. When we finally heard back and the appointment was scheduled. The gentleman showed up to our house, and did a horrible job "cleaning" our carpets. When looking at before an after pictures, you cannot even tell they were cleaned. There were new stains after he left our house (large, green, soapy stains left in the upstairs and dirt stains on the main level that were not there before the job was done) and the carpets feel horrible (oily, soapy, sticky, etc). We reached out to the company and when we did not hear back again, we wrote a review on [redacted] letting others know about our experience. that must have gotten their attention because shortly after the review was written, we received an email from [redacted] at the company wanting to know who we were and when our service was done. I immediately emailed him back with the information, and after 2 days there was no response from him. I sent a second email to him asking him why, now that he knows who we are and when the service was done, he does not respond to me and that once again I would like to hear from someone in the company so we can discuss the state that my carpets were left in. After a day, I received the following email from him:

"We do not entertain people like you. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left you rambled negativity.

You was informed that the carpets should be replaced before the service. You are a complete dramatic sociopath based on observation of your words and actions.

Remember you tipped $35 and $15 travel fee. You as well complained non stop about the owner of the home remembering what stains was there. Which again is why you took after pictures of all the stains that didn't come out.

You was repetitive about understanding that the carpets needed to be replaced and understanding that the fuzziness was the worn fibers and that anything that hits it would stain it. That's why they was so stained. You looked over everything before and after with the owner and insisted that you once again understood the expectations.

You as well stated that you was commutating with owner of the home and was in confrontation of what the carpets looked like when you moved in as well as when you are to move out. You said you just moved in and when questioned about what the stains was you both said you had no idea and that the owner had kids.

Your carpets are disgusting and you was informed that they should be replaced especially the downstairs. But you the guy that's taking out the downstairs is a pig and it didn't need to be so much focus down stairs.

In your [redacted] review you said the co-owner was lazy and doing a walk through pointing out stains as if he could not get them but you said he was just looking for a way to not work so hard. In fact he lugged a 200lb machine up and down 2 flights of stairs and you commented that it looked to be like a workout. But you actually called the co-owner lazy. He spent almost 3 hours in your home only to arrive at his next appointment at 930pm.

Now you want someone from our end to entertain your stories and want the almost 3 hours of pure labour to be for free even after you insulted not only the company but the Co-Owner and then you ask for an understanding of your overly dramatic and whole twisted opinioned stories?

Get a life, a man and stop wasting our time with your pathetic piglet story telling!"

I do NOT think that this is the way that an owner of a company should speak to paying patrons. I have done my research on this company since having this issue with them, and I have found multiple people have run into similar issues with them. They have ruined the carpets and hardwood floors of multiple homes and have spoken to more than just myself in the manner that I was spoken too (just look at their [redacted] page reviews, you will see the replies from them to some of the other comments). They do horrible work, blame it on other people and then get defensive and speak to people who pay for their services in the manner that they do.

we have rented a carpet cleaner machine to attempt to clean up the mess that was left behind from this company. our carpets look almost new after us, as non-professionals, did our own carpet cleaning. we cannot get up the soap stains that were left behind from the company, but were able to get almost all of the dirt and other stains up. after one go over with a rented machine, the amount of dirt we got up was unacceptable for doing it less than a week after they were "cleaned" by this company. we have pictures of everything. We have pictures of before they did their job, of the new stains that were left from them, of the before and after of their job, of the rooms after WE did our own cleaning on them, and of the amount of dirt that we got up after they so called cleaned the carpets.

it is not acceptable.Desired Settlement: I was NOT going into my correspondence with them to receive a refund. I simply wanted to speak to someone at this company regarding the shape that my carpets were left in. They would not return phone calls or emails and when they finally did, they assumed thats what I wanted (a refund was NEVER mentioned in any of my emails to them. all that was ever requested on my end was a return phone call from them). After the way they lashed out at myself, and other patrons for being unsatisfied with the "work" they do, I would like either a refund or an apology.

Review: I had purchased carpet cleaning services thru a [redacted] special. I had made the appointment and also inquired about hardwood floor cleaning, as they had also offered that service thru [redacted]. They said I could purchase seperately when they arrived. They came and did the carpets, which looked fine, however 2 days after the urine smell came back. I had agreed to a price to have the hardwoods cleaned, as well as the stairs and carpet remnents. He said that the floors would look great. He used a scrubber, as well as a [redacted] product (something green) and I am assuming water. After they were complete I noticed that a large portion of the boards were warping. I pointed this out and he said he had never seen it before. I contacted him the next day by email, text and phone and he did not return my call when I told him he needed to contact his isurance company in regards to the damage. He said he was taking off a day of work to go down to deal with his insurance company. As well I had asked for a receipt for the services and have never received it. I finally got frustrated and put a negative review on [redacted]. He then responds back to me via text after I send him another text saying his insurance company said that it is my fault and not his and my floors already looked that way. That statement was false, as if they were wouldn't he have said something to me? As well, I have yet to hear from his insurance company. I have filed a claim with mine, however it should be resolved with his company as it was not myself that damaged the floors but his. I want my money back that I paid for the additional services, as well as this to be resolved from his insurance company and for them to contact me directly.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund of the $169 for the additional services, as well as a valid claim to be submitted to his insurance company and for their insurance company to contact me immediately in regards to replacing the flooring and as well to respond to my insurance company's and my phone calls.

Response:

She called us to do her carpets and she was unsure if she should get her hardwood floors done. She purchased through [redacted]. We arrived and as always did a walk through. We pointed out the slight buckling and explained to her that we could still do her floors but they she needed to know that urine is an acid. Acid can destroy the glue under the boards. We explianed that her floors look to be like a laminate floor but she insisted it was engineered hardwood flooring. She called it correctly when she said her home smell like pure urine. Her floors was not in great shape and we even explained during the walk through to not exspect the scent to go away but to lighten back up. But before it lightens it is going to smell worse due to putting moistuire on her floors which will reactivate the stinch. She was okay with this. She was as well okay with the whole process. We explained to her that she needs to have the floors nailed or reglued down if she wants the buckling to go away and that light scrubbing of the surface is not going to scrub out the urine also know as acid. When cats or dogs urinate on floors to mark there territory they mean business. And yes, cats do the same as dogs when feeling envaded. She pointed out after the 30min process was done that she felt like her floors was buckling more but I explained to her that it was not and it takes more then 30min and very light moisture to create floors to buckle. She agreed and tipped us for our service, as well she did whatvwe ask every client to do which is walk through to see if we missed anything. She said it looked and smelled great. The next day she blew our phone up during jobs that we was working on and she said that her floors was buckling and I said Ill talk to our insuarnce company. She sent me picture of the same spot she pointed out and it was exactly as it was when we arrived. I talked to our insurance company and they called her an oppurtuist. They said why would she pay for the hardwood floor package in advance when she knew she could be out of luck getting us to service it? Meaning they understood why she bought a carpet cleaning service but not the hardwood floors. Exactly as she said, "she wasnt sure if we could do it due to the buckleing". We simpily mist sections of the floor and soft scrun sections at a time. Very soft very little eco friendly chemical diluted by water. Very fine mist on the floor and then we dry mop it dry. We ignore her calls as well as calls from [redacted] numbers because we get allot of scam calls and telemarketers. We have tried reaching back out to the insurance guy but no luck at the ext he gave the same day he called and left that 1 voicemail.

Response:

And further more $8,000+ for less than 400sf of what she says is engineered hardwood floor in just a small town house kitchen and very small living room connected to the kitchen... Thrme words she used to us was accurate. She wants the money so she can so called hire someone to install the new floors. No, we are not stupid. Try this trick with another company.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Just wanted to let you know that an actual flooring company came out today and they will be submitting the report in the next few days to [redacted]. What they said is that with engineered hardwood it should only be spot cleaned and any chemicals and water should not be put on the floors. Once I get the report I will forward it to you. I still want my money back for what I paid for him to do the cleaning as well as it should really go thru his insurance. Also I am getting the carpets cleaned by a reputable company today, [redacted] dry since the job that was completed with the [redacted] Coupon was subpar as they still smelled like urine (any good company would have a solvent for that). I don't know exactly how much it will be but he should pay for that as well. I know that my insurance company will try to go after his company but I don't think he has returned any phone calls. Nor has his insurance company contacted me at all. I still have never received an invoice either. [redacted]
