Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/01/12) */
Ms*** purchased a Ford Mustang on 10/01/The vehicle was sold with a day 50/engine and transmission warranty as well as safety and emission inspectionsMs*** took the vehicle on a test drive and looked it over
thoroughly before she purchased itShe did have a few concerns that we addressed right away; the rear lights were out and the bulbs were replaced immediately for her, we also changed the brake pads (a safety concern) and touched up some spots with paint for herThere was a small crack in the windshield and she was promised a new windshield whenever she was readyThe next day, Ms*** informed us that the vehicle needed rotors due to a shaking problem and that it would be easier for her to take to a local mechanic and they could just bill usShe was told "We will only pay for the repairs if they are done hereWe only pay outside shops for inspections, not repair workIf you want to have it done at *** you will be responsible for the billIf you set up a time to bring it in here next week, we will take care of it for you." She had the opportunity to have all the repairs done here for free and she refusedShe had so many complaints about the vehicle, that on Oct 5, she was told to just bring the car back and get her money back, and she refusedIt was her decision to pay *** for repairs, she could have had it all done here at no cost to herShe stated that the vehicle was not safe to drive, but it had passed safety inspection and she continued to drive the vehicleAnd as far as her references to *** *** and *** in her complaint, we are not affiliated and cannot respond to what they may have told her or not
We will not issue Ms*** a refund for monies paid to another shop when she had every opportunity to have the work done here for freeWe will still honor the promise to replace her windshield, she can call to set up the appointment for the work to be done here at her convenience
We also have some email records between her and the office manager, Stacey, discussing these issuesIf they are needed, please let us knowThank you

have which is my work or home they have both, I was asked by Mr *** where I wanted him to send the title when he told me he had it and I asked him to send it to my office that never happened.
Sincerely,

Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 7, 2015/06/01) */

I have also found he has not paid my other car off yet

Mr. [redacted] purchased his 2008 F250 from us on April 11, 2016.  This vehicle was sold AS IS with a safety inspection.  While we do offer 50/50 30 day warranty on most vehicles sold, this one was a diesel and had 220,000 miles and we do not warranty vehicles with high miles or...

diesels. Mr. [redacted] came in to look at another truck we had for sale in June 2016.  It was a 2006 F150 with 109,000 miles.  We offered to take his 2008 F250 in on trade because he said it just turned into a “money pit” and he didn’t want to keep dumping money into it.  He said he would think about it and never called or returned. On August 30, 2016, Mr. [redacted] came into the dealership saying that his transmission is bad.  He was informed that he has been driving the truck for over four months and that we cannot be held responsible.  He became angry and starting threatening me and he was asked to leave.  He said he was going to call news channels and make as many complaints that he could to ruin the business name.  We at Two Car Guys pride ourselves in customer satisfaction; we go above and beyond to make our customers happy.  If Mr. [redacted] would be interested in trading his truck in, we can work that out.  We are not opposed to helping him but he cannot come in and make accusations or threaten our business.

We have made the title available to Mrs. [redacted]. Any disputes listed in this complaint have been resolved and we deny any allegations made against us.

It will be turned over to her attorney.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/29) */
This vehicle was sold with a 30 day 50/50 power train warranty, as all our vehicles are. Only the engine and transmission are covered under this warranty. Right after the truck was purchased, the check engine light came on, we took the truck...

to the Dodge dealership and had it repaired because it was an emission issue, at no cost to the customer. When the customer brought it to our attention that the AC was not blowing cold, it was charged, at no cost to him. The truck was then brought back again because it had stopped blowing cold. A leak was detected and repaired, again, at no cost to the customer. He called a few days later stating that only the driver's side was blowing cold. He took it to a Dodge dealership to see what the problem was. The customer then brought the truck here, with a diagnosis from the Dodge dealership, and we agreed we would try to do the work here. We replaced the part that he said was defective, and he picked it up when it was done. We have a mechanic on duty for small jobs but we do not have a full functioning automotive repair shop. The AC repairs that were done require disassembling the entire dashboard, which is a full day's work. We went above and beyond the warranty to try to fix it for him. Not only was the truck in for service several times, all of the parts and labor were covered. The customers didn't have to pay for anything. They were always provided a vehicle to drive so they were never without transportation. After many hours, and numerous part replacements, we had exhausted our abilities of trying to help the customer. They were given the option of trading it back in, for full purchase price several times and refused. We only use dealerships for computer and emission related issues, that was not the case here. The last day they came in, they were extremely rude and used very offensive language, I gave them their keys, told them I was done and asked them to leave. I believe I have gone above and beyond to try to help them get their AC working, especially since it wasn't even covered in the first place.
