Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: It is true, I did initially request Lisa to reimburse us for all the bills we accrued to bring Charlie to health as per our vetI was baffled and upset by the astronomical credit card bill we accrued after we adopted a dog. We were surprised that it would be solely our responsibility to treat our pup after we paid Lisa $300.00 for himYes, we did receive a $ check for neutering Charlie, after we asked for it. After calling *** *** myself, I did learn that he neuters dogs at least months old, that s simply his policy and its a vet Lisa chooses to use. Charlie wasn't too young to be neutered. Rescues may be as young as months and be neutered. Same goes for not treating a positive Lyme testSeven days after we adopted Charlie, our vet placed Charlie on medicine, while *** ***'s policy is to wait for symptoms to presentI am not a vet nor a vet tech, but it seems prudent to begin preventative treatment prior to debilitating symptoms present themselvesWe trusted our vet's decision to do soI agree, its sad that a dog rescue became a fight over money, but we were not looking to get rich because of CharlieIt did become unfortunate and seems largely unfair that we needed to spend several hundred dollars to get Charlie to a health status he should have been the day we picked him up and handed a check to his foster. I reported Lisa to the Humane Society because Charlie's adoption seemed like a case of slight neglectI didn't doubt that nothing wrong was found at this address as this is Lisa's home and it may be a home to her own pets. Our dog didn't come from this address, he lived with a foster family that had a number of childrenWe met the foster in a parking lot and not her place of residency Again, our vet informed us that Charlie's feces were contagious to other pets and peopleHence neglectMy letting Lisa know that I will go public about our experience was not a threat. Today we live in a world of social media where we have the right to share our experiences, whether positive or negative, and in this case, share it with potential future animal adopters. Two Hearts Animal Rescue is not a star rescue nor has every adoption been % positive as she claims. Recently a young family contacted me who adopted a dog with *** from Lisa*** is a highly contagious and often fatal virus in dogs. Lisa has called us "a thorn in her side", yet she could have made this situation better, by helping us pay for Charlie's medical billsSince this must have been about money for Lisa as well, she has not done so. She has stated to us that "he is your dog now". We have read and signed Two Hearts Rescues' contract which states that the Rescue "will do its best to deliver a healthy pet". The Rescue also states that it has a surrender fee of 150.00 after daysMost Rescues take their animals back if the animal becomes not a good fit for the family. So its not fair that Lisa believes this has been about money only for us. In my letter to Revdex.com, I have requested a refund for Charlie, which at this point would be $ 250.00, after the $ 50.00 Lisa sent us after we had Charlie neutered. She has offered us monetary assistance on two occasions but rescinded her offer shortly after. We paid Lisa for a dog that was not well At this point, any assistance would be appreciated and would seem fair

Charlie was adopted from Two Hearts Animal Rescue on 12/29/2016. Per our contract it is clearly stated and [redacted] family was also told verbally that the puppy needed to be neutered. He was too young at the time of adoption. They would get a refund of 50 dollars when neuter was done. We refunded the...

amount of 50 dollars in Jan. Neuters are usually done approx. 9-12 months of age. as per our vet who takes care of all our rescue animals. Charlie came to us with no vaccine history. On Dec 12th he received his first puppy vaccine. He was due on Jan 2nd for his second required vaccine. Puppies receive three sets of vaccines. Two Hearts Animal Rescue advises all adopters that the dogs should be vet checked within 7-10 days of adoption. On Dec. 13th 2016 Charlie had a routine well visit at [redacted] office [redacted] He received a Rabies vaccine and had a 4DX test done for lymes anaplasmosis ehrlichia and heart worm. Per our vet he showed exposure to lymes with no symptoms. [redacted] advised us no treatment was needed. as no symptoms were present.Charlie received a routine dewormer on Dec. 12th 2016. No fecal done because he had no symptoms and we had just dewormed him. Due to the adopters changing requests on what they felt was due to them from the request of paying for all meds to reimbursing them the adoption fee to paying them 1.175.00 . None of which is our responsibility per or contract which they read and understood and then signed. We have an excellent reputation and always try to work with our adopters. The [redacted]s threatened us and said they would go public. They said it was all about the money, which is very sad. They contacted the ASPCA who came to my house and found Nothing we did was wrong. We have never had an issue with any of the other adopters that we have adopted too, which is in the 100's. We do the best to make sure our dogs are healthy but it is imperative that worming is done numerous times. We have all 5 star reviews except from the [redacted]s. respectfully submitted Lisa M[redacted]
