Two Men and A Truck Reviews (%countItem)

Service not completed. Company stated that bed bugs were found in my apartment, although the employees could not display concrete evidence.
On Monday, 12/16/19 Two Men and a Truck was hired to provide a service of moving. About approximately one third of the way into the move one of two employees told me the move had to be terminated due to finding bed bugs in my apartment. The employee stated that he did take photos that showed evidence of bed bugs, which were shown to me at a much later time, which were on a cell phone. There was no notice that these pictures were going to be, when and where they were taken and I was not present at the time; therefore, there is no proof that they were even from my apartment. The photos did not include a picture of what resembles the appearance of a bed bug. The following web site shows the appearance of a bed bug and the effects on a human body of a bed bug: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bed_bug. I, also do not have any personal symptoms from bed bugs being in my residence. When asked, the employees were unable to show physical proof of any bed bugs in my apartment or on my bedding, therefore I do not believe their diagnosis of my living quarters was true. Charges were placed on a Discover Card. On the invoice it was stated that each employee worked for three hours.

Desired Outcome

For the resolution, I should not be charged for any services Two Men and a Truck provided. The charges that I should not have to provide to the company are a $100.00 deposit, which was supposed to be applied to the service and $455.00 due upon a completion of the service, which did not occur.

I have looked into this move. We did complete the move for this customer but did not move the items that bedbugs were found on. We unloaded items that were on our truck into the customer's new apartment. Our crew then left and was asked to go back and move the same items into the garage by the customer. We completed this at no charge. This was mandated by the apartment complex. The picture received does appear to be a bed bug and the crew did move what they could. The customer was only charged for the time we moved him. In addition we did not charge him to move his belongings into his garage.

The person employed by the Two Men and a Truck company that responded to my complaint is incorrect with the following facts:
His/ her company did not complete the move.
There were no bed bugs in my previous apartment. Pictures taken by his/ her employees are not real, due to the fact that I was not present when the pictures were taken. His/ her employees could not show any physical evidence of bed bugs being present in my old apartment in person.
The respondent is correct that items were moved to a garage at no additional charge.
Due to the fact that the move was incomplete and there is no physical evidence of bed bugs being in my old apartment, I should receive a check and/ or a credit to my Discover Card account for the amount of $555.00 from the Two Men and a Truck company.

We have recently been notified that the consumer initiated a chargeback on his credit card that has been deducted from our account. The consumer was charged based on the time we were completing his move based on the pieces we moved. The consumer confirms that we completed a portion of the move free of charge. We confirmed with 2 pest controls companies that they were in fact bed bugs. We will be disputing the chargeback and feel we do not owe a refund of the move to this consumer.

Movers lost $2,000 worth of items they were paid to move and store.
I paid the business to take my furniture and household items and move them into their storage facility, and I paid them a monthly fee to keep those items stored there for a year. I then paid them to return those items and move them into my new residence. A rug and its rug pad were missing, and I brought that to their attention that day (May 29). They initially thought the rug was just misplaced and they tried to locate it. After a few weeks, it became apparent they had lost the rug/rug pad they were paid to be responsible for. The retail price to replace those is $2,022. They told me they were going to honor my claim for the missing rug/pad at first, but it them became apparent they were just stringing me along in hopes I would give up. They eventually admitted they were not going to do anything, claiming for the first time that they were not responsible for items they lost (which is not what our contract or the law provide). I sent them a letter but they simply stopped responding to me.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the replacement cost of the rug and rug pad the business lost.

We do not show this customer moving with our Louisville locations. We do have a customer that has moved with our Lexington location under a different last name.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The business's response is completely non-responsive. The business has just said they did not have me as a customer at their Louisville location that is completely irrelevant; I brought this complaint against the Lexington location with whom I did do business. The also alleged a discrepancy in my last name without denying that I was, indeed, their customer. Yes, my legal last name is ***," but sometimes I just go by ***, as I think I did for this contract. This is a pedantic point. Notably, the business has not denied and of the substantive allegations in my complain they have not done so because they know everything I've said is true.

This consumer moved with our Lexington location into our storage. The consumer and her brother both accessed the storage facility removing items. We moved the consumer out of our storage at which time she advised this rug was missing. We are unable to confirm or deny the location of the rug. Based on this information and based on the coverage the consumer opted for during the move which was $.60 a pound. We have offered the consumer a payout of $200.00. We would be happy to increase that offer to $400.00 to settle.

The company was hired to move furniture to Lexington. During the move, an armoire was scooted across a hardwood floor causing damage. The scratches are all down the hallway. Even when the movers were told about the scratches happening, it was ignored. The business sent two different men on 8/7 and 8/9, but they said they could not fix the scratches. The consumer was told on 8/15 that Mr. Lawson would come out. That never happened.

Desired Outcome

The consumer stated, "I honestly don't know".

The movers damaged an expensive glass table valued at $500.00. I reported the damage and have not been compensated. It has been two months.
The movers damaged an expensive glass table valued at $500.00. I reported the damage and have not been compensated. It has been two months. I was told that the issue would be handled and a check cut to me but that has not happened.

Desired Outcome

Replace the glass table by issuing me a check for $500.00.

We have spoken to Mr. and he has accepted the payout of $200.00. We will cut a check and get in the mail by 8/4.

We hired 2 Men for a 2 part move recently, they were great. This was not an easy move that included a lot of tight turns and steep stairs. They moved quickly and efficiently without damages or being careless. The office also accommodated a late change to our date and time without hassle. I would highly recommend them.
