Two Poor Teachers Inc Reviews (2)
My bathroom was old and outdated when I bought my home. After looking around and get info quotes from multiple companies and general contractors. Two Poor Teachers had a good price and great portfolio of work.
They worked with me and my schedule, I love the new bathroom and hope to hire them again in the future for other projects.
Review: Defective work done and incorrect materials used on a bathroom renovation project that caused a water leak and subsequent damage to walls, floors, carpet and wood floors. A whole new renovation project at the cost of $9,000.00 was needed to correct all the problems. A letter was sent to the first contractor regarding the defective work on February 4, 2013, but I have not as of this date, February 27, 2013, received a return phone call or letter in response. The new bathroom contractor gave me a list of the defective work done and materials used. They are: the shower was not reframed with wood studs – metal framing is too unstable and not plumb and square, the corner of the shower was leaking due to the use of regular drywall instead of Durock or Hardibacker, and the concrete floor was not graded properly to drain and was running into the cornerDesired Settlement: The contract only had a one year warranty on the workmanship and materials and it has been five years since the bathroom was done. However, the resulting leak was not caused by the passage of time. It was just a matter of time before the leak behind the wall finally became apparent along with the defective work that caused it.
