Noise in furnace and condenser vibration unresolv*** since install. Install left several leaking gaps in duct work joints as contractor bent things to fit existing duct manifold instead of modifying the return exchange manifold to fit the new furnace.

9/14/19 Saturday: Two Seasons Heating / Cooling owner *** Quot*** $6500 for entire install of two stage HVAC 10 year parts, 12 months parts and labor. *** call*** me shortly after he was here and said he would add the humidifier at no cost.

9/27 Friday: HVAC install*** by Two Seasons *** and ***. I was concern*** about the noises I heard below when *** was trying to modify existing duct work left to fit the smaller furnace. The local building inspector unexpectly arriv*** and point*** out that I ne*** a building permit. He spoke to *** in the basement about it. At the end of install *** said there was and additional fee for pay by C.C. that I could not afford so I paid by check. I saw *** at the hardware store the next Sunday as I was buying filters and said I was unhappy with PVC install appearance. *** seem*** to dismiss my concern.

10/3 or so *** show*** up with an ad sign he said to offset the $200 inspection fee that he had already put in my yard. I mention*** the rattles in furnace and vibration; *** tri*** dip switch changes on the furnace. On 10/4 or so, *** came, later *** show*** up with an inspection tag. *** cut a vent in return duct over my workbench and adjust*** dip settings. He said the return air duct was obstruct. *** notic*** that humidifier was not wir*** to power and correct. I describ*** the rattle as a can rolling down the sidewalk. *** correct*** the PVC clear trap junction appearance. *** said he would order an inducer motor (did not order it).

I am not sure what day the final inspection was but the inspector ask*** how it was going before *** arriv*** and I said not good I have a noise in my furnace. He said there also is a noise in the condenser as we spoke outside and offer*** to keep the ticket open. I got a call from *** a few days later (Tuesday) asking me to close the ticket. I said I still have noise and vibration issues can you send someone out. On Thursday I call*** the inspector ask*** what good holding the ticket open was and he said nothing really. He said I could call the mfgr. To see if there are any recalls so we clos*** the ticket.

10/17 Tuesday: After calling twice the inducer motor got order*** and *** install*** it, same noise. I mention*** the furnace over-cycling that I don’t want a failure beyond warranty and also point*** out the A.C. condenser vibration as he was leaving; *** simply said he might ne*** to put rubber under it (but did nothing to address it, said we could deal with it in the spring and that he can continue to put parts in until the end of warranty period.) Noise was still evident immiately after but I hop*** it would stop.

12/4 Wnesday After a couple of prior calls got an appointment to have *** out at 3:30. No call No show.

12/11 Wnesday reschul*** and *** show*** up, said blower cage “threw a weight” and order*** only the cage. He said it would arrive 7-10 days but did not. I call*** at Two Seasons and it was not yet shipp*** on 12/27.

1/7/2020 Monday: *** replac*** the cage but could not show me the weight he had said it threw. Same noise. He mention*** he would contact “Rundle at Wolf” on Monday 1/10 for assistance with the problem. He assur*** me that the specialist would spend as much time as ne*** to resolve it. After a number of calls to *** she said the manufacturer wants *** to try a few things before he drives here from Southern Ohio. *** made an appointment for *** to come on 1/21.

1/21 Monday: *** not here, *** left v.m. *** he was sick and I reschul*** to next day.

1/22 Tuesday: *** came, said the furnace dip switches were not accepting change. He order*** a new main board and module; ETA 1-2 days.

1/24 Thursday I contact*** and let him know that I was upset and want documentation. He said he would (provide it) when the job is complete. I said it has been four months; I can’t sleep with all the noise. He said he has customers with no heat.

1/28 Monday: *** install*** the new main board, had no module. He said it would run in first stage only until very low (in the teens) temperatures. I point*** out the noise was still evident even though he slow*** down the blower, said I would have install*** the blower motor with the cage, *** said manufacturer would only let him have one part at a time.

2/10 Monday: 10:59 a.m. I call*** again said the noise would not let me sleep and that *** should have tri*** the motor by now. I said I want the specialist out. *** said they were all in TX for a convention and she will let me know. I verifi*** that she had my correct cell phone number because she call*** my employer instead last time. She verifi*** that she has the number. I have not heard from Two Seasons since then. When temperatures did reach mid teens outside we heard the furnace noise become very intense and aggressive mid February. *** is kind but communication has been terrible since the quote. I ne*** assistance please.

Two Seasons Heating & Cooling Response • Feb 27, 2020

We were surpris*** to read this customers complaint. We have been in business for twenty-three years and never had a complaint. We are still in the process of trying to

resolve this problem. We have a factory technician from Wolff coming next week , Wnesday March 4. ***k is expecting our serviceman and the

factory tech at his house at 2:30.

We will update this file in two weeks after he has had a chance to diagnose any problems.

I have review*** the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determin*** that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I review*** appear below.

Re (originally read on 7-30-2020 8:45 a.m.): After doing all the repairs suggest*** by ***
***k still says there is a noise- better But still there. *** has
ask*** us to do a decibel test. If it is at 75 or less, than there is
nothing else To be done. If it is above 75 than we will address the
problem. I will be calling John to set this upRevdex.com reply on: 8-2-2020: Hello *** and thank you, I am very disappoint*** but not surpris*** that Two-Seasons
*** and *** want to declare mission accomplish*** and call this a
done deal. *** likely already knows how many dB a meter will record but
this rattle is even more annoying when there is no traffic noise outside (at
night for example). This is the very same rattle coming from the furnace that
was originally report*** and previously determin*** to be an issue by ***
evident by the repairs attempt*** since. I have repeatly ask*** for a new furnace but ultimately
just want the rattle noise gone and humidifier working. I have not*** the recent observations below.6-29-2020 Monday: I contact*** and set an
appointment for Thursday July 2nd at 1:30 P.M. (I had
request*** time off after being told this would take hours and could possibly
ne*** to be schul*** over 2 days if ne***.) 7/2/2020 Thursday: *** was here earlier than
expect, at 12:50 – 1:35. (For 45-minutes). I had my car open*** up, in
the driveway cleaning it, when *** arriv*** and I ne*** to finish. I mention
that the humidifier came on only once after heat switch*** on from air after the
last visit but has not work*** since. He said he would return in a week to
replace the solenoid. *** install*** fan blade and rubber pads under the
condenser, went inside with no PPE to install the furnace blower (show*** me a
deflector on output that was misalign*** that may have been rubbing on the side
plates on the original blower and said the original fan blade had 2 weights but
the original had 1). Freon lines still have ***d flow noise and some vibration
after but may have improv. Blower noise was the same in the evening. 7-13-2020 Monday, *** call*** to set up an appointment
for 7-17-2020 Friday 8 a.m. I mention*** that the furnace noise is still
present. She said she had to contact the others. 7-17-2020 When *** came 7:50; he only swapp*** the
humidifier solenoid said he test*** it and left 8:15. He said he heard about the
noise and is contacting Rundle. I said furnace noise is the same as when he (
Rundle on May 20) last heard it. I said I was less concern*** at this point about
the noises from the condenser than the rattle in the furnace and that the
humidifier is actually working at this point. (I won’t know until outside
temperatures drop, since the valve was not replac*** until the heat of the
summer).
