Two Sisters Movers Reviews (11)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below***'s poor performance had nothing to do with my expectationsShe packed my display rack in her car without asking, there is no record of her paying for it contrary to what she says, she agreed to a 60/split on commission but wrote 50% on the contract, and when I pointed out the oversight, and told her to write her commission in as the 40% we agreed on, she wrote 40% alright, and I watched her write it, but I didn't notice that she wrote it in the blank that said “to client”, ei, to meI thought she was writing it in the blank that said 40% to her like I askedSo I didn't double check it when I signed, because we had so many other problems with the contract content, and I felt pressured to sign because the auctioneer had already spent advertising money and so he would have been out, and ***'s helper had already started working so he would have been out, and it was too late for me to dispose of my things in another manner prior to my move, so yes, I was under pressure to signBut I made it clear to her I did not agree to several items in the contract, and that's why she wrote TBDShe didn't write TBD because I did agree, she wrote it because I didn't agreeIf I had agreed, I would have just signed the contractIf I agreed, I wouldn't have her write in “this item to be discussed or determined”What would be the point of that? She knows I didn't agree to several things, that's why she wrote TBD and that's why there is no breachYou can't breach something that ambiguously says we'll discuss or determine it laterNow she's saying I did agree to itShe was highly unprofessional on the day of the auction, she was rude to me, rude to the public, and yes, she did take my rack and covered it with a black tarp and put it in the back of the garage behind her during the auctionIt had no lot number on itIt was withheld from the auctionOf course there were no bids on itIt wasn't in the auctionThat is not an acceptable behaviorI had six complaints against her and no good commentsHer rebuttal to my complaint has events not remembered correctly, I did not remove anything from the auction once I signed the contract, she had plenty of time to look at my items, she did look at my items, she was with the auctioneer when he photographed the items for the ad, and she knew what she was gettingThey knew things were dusty, they knew there was a couple of things brokenThat was all ok'd before we signedNo one had any problem with it [redacted] was supposed to put anything broken in a “free” box in frontShe didn'tShe let them be part of the auctionShe didn't take time to display things properly, she didn't have good signage, she didn't check the calendar for other events that weekend, and she didn't bring her contract to me in a timely manner ahead of time like she promised so we could go through it before it was a problemBy the time she presented it to me, it would have caused a lot of hard feelings to people who had already put in work if I had canceledThe only way she could get me to sign was by writing TBD by some items and literally telling me she was not going to “screw” meNow if someone has to say they promise not to “screw” you, that doesn't bode well for a happy endingI just wouldn't recommend this person for anythingAnd she justifies keeping the other 20% by claiming I broke the contract by not having a follow up estate saleBut I told her I wasn't ready to commit to that, and she knew that when she wrote TBDThere is no other logical explanation for writing TBD My cashing her check does in no uncertain terms show that I am satisfied and it says so on the back of the check where I endorsed it All I can say is, I'm sorry I used her services Regards, [redacted]

Responding to ID # *** This person had every chance to read the contract that she signedShe did not sign under duress She agreed to an auction as she had garages completely full as well as many nice furniture pieces in the house Upon
setting up the furniture from one garage we found many pieces were dry rotted, some items were broken, most were dirty and dusty, and some upholstered furniture mice infested Most of the boxes from the other garage, to our dismay, contained old items with parts missing, broken, dusty and dirtyThe auctioneer could have charged her a $clefee, but did not as we did not take in the money we had hoped for because of the poor condition of so many itemsIt had taken her several months to get her items gathered together for the auction and by the time she was finally ready we had just a few days to get organized Before she signed the contract she informed us that she was keeping most of the the furniture in the house that we originally had been told we were to sell With that knowledge we had to lower her commission percentage as these were the best items and without them knew we could not bring in the money we had intendedWith the auction date so close we did not have sufficient time to investigate all the items being auctioned. TBD..means TO BE DETERMINED ( not 'discussed' ) I am enclosing a copy of the contract Two Sisters Movers agreed to do an after auction sale, TBD The client declined this sale after the auction and after she had already signed the contract At the last minute she kept yet another one of the better furniture pieces to give to a friend These issues constitute a breach of contract. All auction furniture, appliances and boxed items were displayed and organized for customers to seeI was not aware of any bad language during set up and the auction itselfThe commissions were split between Two Sisters Movers and the auction company Our contract stipulates clients not be present at the sale for many reasonsShe and her partner did not leave before customers started to arrive and blocked the driveway with their vehicle hindering customers from entering the propertyThis again is a violation of our contract. The item in question, a rack, the woman accuses Two Sisters Movers of allegedly'taking', was paid for by Two Sisters Movers and proceeds were included in her final check The rack was not bid on or sold during the auction. Our contract states that leftover items become the property of Two Sisters Movers unless otherwise stated in the contract Since she reneged on the second sale, we declined to take any items because of the lack of value. Finally, it is clearly defined in the contract there will be no inventory takenShe cashed the check she received from Two Sisters Movers, which tells me she was satisfied with payment. We anticipate that this clears up any misrepresentations made in her letterSome clients have unrealistic expectations of the value of their belongingsTwo Sisters Movers has been in business for many years, and have a good local reputation We appreciate the opportunity to post this rebuttal with the Revdex.com

***, thank you for sending this latest rebuttal: I will respond to each item:1) as stated in my first reponse to Revdex.com: *** was told I charge $per hour, my senior rate for packing I packed all her heavy items and other as she requested...several boxes of books, statues, large kitchen items, huge mural, etcand as previously stated, she had 'forgotten' about all the items I packed for her regardless of what she and her daughter had packed.2) this is a moot point.3) That I can recall, furnishings included an older colonial style writing desk, not too many people buy these anymore, an older mattress set, reclining chairs which *** had previously purchased at a second hand store, an older entertainment center, most people do not buy as flat screen TV's do not fit in them, dinette set...old, yellow wrought iron, glass top...no interest, some various small furniture items, and the rest was regular used household items from bathroom to kitchen and decorMany books (novels) did not sellSome items looked 'repurposed' and outdated.3-again) it doesn't matter what people pay for items NEW, what matters is that it is now not new, fabric is dated, and this sofa bed had numerous cat clawing on the fabric, no one was interested in buying itI begged a thrift shop to take it or it would go to the dump.4) The bedroom set in question, I cannot even dignify with an answerRead my contract, and I allowed her to change her mind and take it anyway as her daughter wanted it, which gave us less furniture to sell, and for me to 'eye' it for my own...PLEASE..it is not even in my taste..I have my own furniture.5) and 6) as stated in my previous letter...John Losey in not in my employ..he is an independent contractor that *** chose to use If she has issues with him, she needs to address him directly.7)*** sent me a letter with a list of items that were left behind for the saleThere didn't seem any reason to respond as I do not inventory items as stated in my contractI went through the entire contract with her in case she had questions, and she did sign the contractSome items sold, and some did not.8) as per the contract..we, at times will bring in other items to enhance a sale *** did not have a problem with it Items in the carport were neatly off to one side which included packing boxes, tables, signs..all related to getting her sale set up and for packing her belongingsWe did not block the driveway or strew anything about.9)Two Sisters Movers does not have a store At times we will help get valued items that did not sell to a consignment store, which we do not charge for this service and do not take any money...our client would receive all proceeds from sold items though that store We did not have any items for consignment from ***'s household.10) *** hired us because she knew we were a reputable company and she had gotten our name from someone she knew that had hired us in the past She told me she did not want to use anyone else but us and was not intending to call another estate sale company because she knew she could trust us to get the job(s) done.11) *** did not pay Two Sisters Movers for her move to ***She did in fact pay *** *** Moving his fee for moving her to ***He told her up front she would have to hire men at her end to unload the truck It would have cost her more if he brought his men and then, as he had quoted her prices, they are responsible for getting his plane ticket back to Arizona including shuttle or other transportation to the airportAgain, if she has issues with the move, she needs to contact him directly.12) I don't lie and I don't have any reason toI am insulted by this accusation.13) She chose us, we did not choose her *** told me she had gotten other moving quotes and she decided to choose *** ***.14) Again, read our contract...first page..we do not inventory If she wanted it, she would have had to pay extra for itI did 'matter of factly' tell her daughter just thatI am not in dispute with the daughter as she is not a signee on the contract.15) I really do not know why this woman is so upsetWe did exactly what she wanted to pack and move her As for the sale, prices were at fair market resale value in this areaI cannot twist customers arms to purchase items We sold what we sold and sent *** her check as stated in my previous response to Revdex.com.I have been in business doing estate/moving sales just about 20years In this business some people think their belongings are worth "millions" It can be very disappointing to the client when they realize that many items are only worth what someone is willing to pay for it The Verde Valley is a basic low income area*** lived in a trailer park, and as nice as she kept her place, it doesn't matter It is all about who will come to the sale We advertise our sales in all the local papers, the 'penny' paper called the ** ***, also ***, and several buy and sell spots on Facebook I am not in charge of people and what they want to buyI don't know what else I could have done for *** She was so happy with our services and then several months later something went south for her...I'm not sure what prompted her negativity at that pointPlease reread my first response: I took this 'sale' to help *** as we do not usually conduct sales that cost us more to set up than what is there to sellI was willing to do this for her because she was so distraught over the sale of her mobile home and the entire move at her age.I would like the Revdex.com to make an earnest decision regarding *** and her unhappiness, close this case and move onTwo Sisters Movers did everything in our power to help this elderly woman and make an easy transition for her move to ***.Thank you,*** ***Two Sisters Movers

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted]'s poor performance had
nothing to do with my expectations. She packed my display rack in her
car without asking, there is no record of her paying for it contrary
to what she says, she agreed to a 60/40 split on commission but wrote
50% on the contract, and when I pointed out the oversight, and told
her to write her commission in as the 40% we agreed on, she wrote 40%
alright, and I watched her write it, but I didn't notice that she
wrote it in the blank that said “to client”, ei, to me. I thought
she was writing it in the blank that said 40% to her like I asked. So
I didn't double check it when I signed, because we had so many other
problems with the contract content, and I felt pressured to sign
because the auctioneer had already spent advertising money and so he
would have been out, and [redacted]'s helper had already started working
so he would have been out, and it was too late for me to dispose of
my things in another manner prior to my move, so yes, I was under
pressure to sign. But I made it clear to her I did not agree to
several items in the contract, and that's why she wrote TBD. She
didn't write TBD because I did agree, she wrote it because I didn't
agree. If I had agreed, I would have just signed the contract. If I
agreed, I wouldn't have her write in “this item to be discussed or
determined”. What would be the point of that? She knows I didn't
agree to several things, that's why she wrote TBD and that's why
there is no breach. You can't breach something that ambiguously says
we'll discuss or determine it later. Now she's saying I did agree to
it. She was highly unprofessional on the day of the auction, she was
rude to me, rude to the public, and yes, she did take my rack and
covered it with a black tarp and put it in the back of the garage
behind her during the auction. It had no lot number on it. It was
withheld from the auction. Of course there were no bids on it. It
wasn't in the auction. That is not an acceptable behavior. I had six
complaints against her and no good comments. Her rebuttal to my
complaint has events not remembered correctly, I did not remove
anything from the auction once I signed the contract, she had plenty
of time to look at my items, she did look at my items, she was with
the auctioneer when he photographed the items for the ad, and she
knew what she was getting. They knew things were dusty, they knew
there was a couple of things broken. That was all ok'd before we
signed. No one had any problem with it. [redacted] was supposed to put
anything broken in a “free” box in front. She didn't. She let
them be part of the auction. She didn't take time to display things
properly, she didn't have good signage, she didn't check the calendar
for other events that weekend, and she didn't bring her contract to
me in a timely manner ahead of time like she promised so we could go
through it before it was a problem. By the time she presented it to
me, it would have caused a lot of hard feelings to people who had
already put in work if I had canceled. The only way she could get me
to sign was by writing TBD by some items and literally telling me she
was not going to “screw” me. Now if someone has to say they
promise not to “screw” you, that doesn't bode well for a happy
ending. I just wouldn't recommend this person for anything. And she
justifies keeping the other 20% by claiming I broke the contract by
not having a follow up estate sale. But I told her I wasn't ready to
commit to that, and she knew that when she wrote TBD. There is no
other logical explanation for writing TBD.  My cashing her check does in no uncertain terms show that I am satisfied and it says so on the back of the check where I endorsed it.  All I can say is, I'm sorry I used her services.

painting. several household boxes , books, statue, etc. I charged her the senior rate at $15.00 per hour, having worked six hours ,for a total charge of $90.00.  The mover, [redacted], is not affiliated with Two Sisters Movers. We offer his services to all our clients, and they can opt to use him over any another company. If [redacted] is unhappy with his services, she will have to contact him directly or write a separate letter to the Revdex.com. After speaking to him, she was apparently delighted with the move, offered to take him out for dinner, gifted him, and also offered to drive him to the airport. Her complaints should be directed to [redacted] Moving. [redacted].[redacted] signed a contract with Two Sisters Movers to conduct her moving sale. Originally she was going to leave a bedroom set for us to sell , but her daughter decided she wanted it. With this in mind, there was very little furniture left behind or items of value in her small mobile home.  Many items were in poor, worn condition or old and outdated. For example, household items having stains or cracks, and furniture ruined from cat scratches. We sold what we could at fair prices. She received a check from the proceeds in the amount of $588.00, which is the 60% commission on her contract. All other items not sold were either donated or became the property of Two Sisters Movers, as per our contract, which I have enclosed as well.  [redacted] states she was not allowed to be there during the sale . As per the contract, we do have excellent reasons for this, and as well, she had already moved to [redacted]. We cannot conduct a moving sale when her packed belongings are still in the house. I would not usually have taken on this small sale, however, we wanted to help her because she was so stressed over the move, and the sale of her mobile home.  During the time she hired us, [redacted] called one day and was so upset she could not get her heavy bedspread back on the bed. The mover gladly came to her house after a hard days work, helped her with that chore and then painted a closet for her at NO EXTRA CHARGE.  I believe [redacted] has forgotten many details of the entire process. Ms.Trebilock is a lovely elderly woman who admittedly cannot remember some things. We anticipate this letter will refute the accusations made by [redacted] against Two Sisters Movers.

[redacted], thank you for sending this latest rebuttal: I will respond to each item:1)  as stated in my first reponse to Revdex.com:  [redacted] was told I charge $15.00 per hour, my senior rate for packing.  I packed all her heavy items and other as she requested...several boxes of books, statues, large kitchen items, huge mural, etc. and as previously stated,  she had 'forgotten' about all the items I packed for her regardless of what she and her daughter had packed.2) this is a moot point.3) That I can recall, furnishings included an older colonial style writing desk, not too many people buy these anymore, an older mattress set, 2 reclining chairs which [redacted] had previously purchased at a second hand store, an older entertainment center, most people do not buy as flat screen TV's do not fit in them, dinette set...old, yellow wrought iron, glass top...no interest, some various small furniture items, and the rest was regular used household items from bathroom to kitchen and decor. There didn't seem any reason to respond as I do not inventory items as stated in my contract. I went through the entire contract with her in case she had questions, and she did sign the contract. Some items sold, and some did not.8) as per the contract..we, at times will bring in other items to enhance a sale.  [redacted] did not have a problem with it.  Items in the carport were neatly off to one side which included packing boxes, tables, signs..all related to getting her sale set up and for packing her belongings. [redacted] lived in a trailer park, and as nice as she kept her place, it doesn't matter.  It is all about who will come to the sale.  We advertise our sales in all the local papers, the 'penny' paper called the [redacted], also [redacted], and several buy and sell spots on Facebook.  I am not in charge of people and what they want to buy. I don't know what else I could have done for [redacted].  She was so happy with our services and then several months later something went south for her...I'm not sure what prompted her negativity at that point. Please reread my first response:  I took this 'sale' to help [redacted] as we do not usually conduct sales that cost us more to set up than what is there to sell. I was willing to do this for her because she was so distraught over the sale of her mobile home and the entire move at her age.I would like the Revdex.com to make an earnest decision regarding [redacted] and her unhappiness, close this case and move on. Two Sisters Movers did everything in our power to help this elderly woman and make an easy transition for her move to [redacted].Thank you,[redacted]Two Sisters Movers
