On May 12th I hired Two Small Men with big Hearts from the Abbotsford office to move me from my Townhome on *** to a storage unit; *** They were then to pick up my furniture on May 26/and have it delivered to my new residence at Simon Avein Abbotsford Prior to this date I had contacted Two Small Men with questions as to their service and expressed concern that my belongings would be going to storage and I had a lot of wood furniture that I wanted protected They assured me that they would cover the wood furniture in packing blankets and that there would be no damage
On May the movers arrived and once again I explained to them that I had wood furniture that I wanted packed in Packing blankets to protect them from damage and I was willing to purchase or rent the blankets from them as I was instructed when I hired the company They assured me that they would do that and
The crew from the Surrey, BC office that moved my mother-in-law from her house to her condo on May 8th were fabulous! They stayed calm even when we encountered a hiccup with the strata manager upon moving inThey worked around the issue and got it all done - efficiently and carefullyWhen they found out that my MIL is a senior, they applied the senior discount even though I was the one who ordered the service! I will definitely recommend them and consider them again in the future!
The company moved my furniture August from my storage locker in mission at *** to my current location in MissionWhen unloading the truck the mover noticed the tv screen had crackedHe voiced it must have happened when he saw the co worker lean on the TV to unstrap it because it was intact upon loading itHe marked it on the top of the invoice and proceeded to call the owner to inform him.He recomended that I call the owner withing hrs to follow up if I didnt hear from him via telephone.he forgot to give me a copy of the invoice
I have since called about ten times and always am told he is on vacation, not in to talk to, or will call me back
The last conversation with the man who took my call suggested I email the companyI did with photos of the cracked tv screen.I am still waiting with no response
On July I had the company small men move me from abbotsford to chilliwack the move was fineI was then presented a figure on a paper which looked like a receiptI rounded off the number and gave it to one of the workers, he looked surprised and asked if I wanted some money back and I said no just keep it, its not much he said thank you and went to a vehicle with one of the other workers,I was still out side when one of the other workers not the one I gave the money too came back and asked how much did you give us and I said a bit more then what was on the bill, he then proceeded to say are you planning on tipping us, and I said no, I all ready paid you, he then said it is customary to tip, to make a long story short I gave him a little extra walked away and said good by I looked back while walking away and he was still standing there I guess wanting moreAnyway I was not happy about his attitude he was almost intimidatingI did not receive a copy of their work doneT
