Revdex.com,This is a response to the complaint you forwarded to us regarding repairs made to the customer's Suzuki Samurai:At the customer's request, we replaced the head gasket, water pump, timing belt, crankshaft seal, valve cover gasket and thermostatWe also paid another company to conduct a
cylinder leak test to ensure the part functioned properlyOn top of this, and at no charge to the customer, we added coolant and changed the oil and oil filterThis work was done properly by skilled mechanics.We categorically deny removing and replacing the vehicle's alternatorAside from the fact that it would be completely unethical, given the age and model of the customer's vehicle, the part would be almost impossible to use on another vehicleFinally, after checking the value of a Suzuki Samurai alternator with three different part suppliers it appears to be worth approximately $There is no reason would risk our reputation over a relatively cheap part that would be very hard to match to another vehicle.As to the property in the vehicle, we do our best to secure our customers' vehicles at our shopUnfortunately car prowling is a very common occurrence in our neighborhoodTherefore we ask all our customers, including this one, to remove anything of value from vehicles left overnightWe have signage indicating we are not responsible for any property left in the vehicles.
