I am rejecting this response because: In the attachment they show (in bold) that insurance must be purchased at least 30 days before travel date. I didn't book the condo until Sept 24 and had an arrival date of Oct 13, therefore I am not sure I could have purchased if I wanted to, due to their own bold type policy indicating the opposite. As I stated before, we were not evacuated, and we did not cancel this trip. Therefore we deserve our money to be refunded in full.

Dear Ms. [redacted]: In response to your query received 11.22.2016: The guest opted to not purchase trip cancellation insurance after having it explained in great detail (see below). In this case we tried to reschedule her trip so that her payment would not be lost. After much back and forth...

she indicated that she was not amenable to rescheduling. This was also explained in several emails and conversations on 10/10, 10/11, 10/12, 10/14 and 11/3. The hurricane was devastating to the island, but with that being said we always encourage our guests to purchase trip insurance, especially in peak hurricane season. TVR suffered financial loss during this period as did the homeowners whose homes we rent and manage. Just to make a statement of fact, TVR has not profited from this tragedy and has suffered serious financial loss. We respectfully ask that this case be closed.  11. Hurricane Evacuation: In the event of an ordered evacuation due to hurricanes or other storms, you are required by state law to evacuateproperty. If you have declined trip cancellation insurance, you shall not be entitled to a refund. Refunds and coverage issues will be based anddetermined solely by CSA Inc. and the existing policy will be issued to Guest if coverage of this insurance has been elected upon makingreservation. Refunds for the period of mandatory evacuation will be made solely by CSA, provided Guest has purchased optional trip cancellationinsurance. Refer to trip cancellation policy or contact CSA directly for specific information and/or refund procedures. If you choose to leave due to"Storm Warnings" or "Voluntary Evacuation" no refunds will be given. TVR will not issue refunds in part or in full for inclement weather.
