Not good. I fully understood the $200.00 deposit for the pop-up camper. I clearly related to the owner that I would be towing the pop-up out west through the mountains using a Chrysler GMC.
Owner stated it would be fine, he had camped all over the country in this same fashion ie; he loved camping. I contacted Midas, then Urka's about installing the needed tow package. Both of these companies told me it was a bad idea. When asked why, I was informed that going through the mountains would destroy the transmission of a vehicle that is not rated for towing. Standard passenger cars are not tow rated. My wife and I related this event to a friend of ours who also had a negative story of this business relating to a pop-up rental; this one in-state. The owner of this business chose to keep our deposit,no credit,just excuses. I'll pass the word.
