Our property ***, Stevens, Pa, was hit by a tornado in May our tenant called Mr Fichthorn without our knowledge, we trusted this gentlemen, but his work was sloppy. I paid the bill before I inspected his work. The electrical service was to be what was on the original pole. When we finally inspected the work it was not the same, the disk to dawn light was not put back on the pole, the cable was not put back on the new pole, there were bare wires on the pole the outside receptical did not work, there was work done we did not authorize. When I talked to Mr Fichthorn he said he would come back and fix his bad work. We did not see him nor did he come back to fix the electric, finally after repeat phone calls he returned our calls and left a message that he wasn’t going to come back and fix the electric. We live 150 miles away and trusted that he would keep his word. We would like the work we paid for or we want a refund. Sincerely
I received an emergency call from the tenant requesting me to provide electric power to his property after a tornado had come through and taken down the electric pole on his property. We scheduled a time to install a new pole and I installed a new 100 amp overhead service on the pole to resume electric to the property and I installed a new 100 amp outdoor breaker box with all proper grounding. Commonwealth Code performed all necessary inspections and the power company installed power back to the new pole. At that time, I temporarily hooked power back up to the house so that clean up could begin. The tenant requested all of this. I never spoke to the landlord. The structure was in such a state of disrepair that it wasn't livable. I then billed the landlord for the work I had performed. The price | charged was reasonable for the labor and materials. The work passed all inspections and was in no shape or form, sloppy as the landlord is claiming. I've been contacted by the landlords numerous times. I've explained all the above to them and they continue to call and leave angry messages. I did exactly what was asked of me by the tenant. At no time was I asked to replace a dusk to dawn light or a cable and I did not charge the landlords for any work that was not completed. I will not be providing a refund to the landlords.
