Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/18) */
I have been out to this site of ***'s on numerous occasions to rectify problems that *** has hadTo learn that the problems he was having was due to his neglect to have eaves troughing on the houseTherefore the house roof draining all
moisture on to the septic lines and freezingAs the moisture froze on the ground it drew down through the ground and froze his linesI was out a couple times for this put a new pump in his septic , no charge for the pump or the travel timeEach time travel would be three hours roughly, return tripI was also out his way to install inspection ports for his septic field which is required by the countyHe replied that he didn't need it done, that the county had already inspected and everything was goodI told him that I had a letter from the county saying that this work needed to be completed*** said no, everything is good, leave it the way it isSo I did, even thou I was there ready to do the work( I told him he's on his own then later when the county requests this be done). Then the cistern issue, I did suggest he could monitor the tank for water level without using the waterI was out a couple times for this as wellThe last time I was in the tank I took pictures of the seal on the tank for proof that it was installed properlyI have shown the pictures to *** so they know as wellAs for *** he has never requested to see pictures *** He is more than welcome to receive these pictures if he would likeI spent over an hour IThe tank the last time going over it thoroughly making sure I wasn't missing anything*** A few days later I got a message and then a call from ***He was calling me, telling me what to do, telling me it's all my fault ( which it is not)I have done nothing but try to helpSo when I get this call from him, telling me what to do not asking or having a reasonable conversation about itYes I told him I'm done with doing charity work for him

"I have been out to this site of ***'s on numerous occasions to rectify problems that *** has had."
Twice, both times no work was done on the cisternThe tank was emptied, pictures were taken, you advised me to monitor the situation, and you left
"To learn that the problems he was having was due to his neglect to have eaves troughing on the houseTherefore the house roof draining all moisture on to the septic lines and freezingAs the moisture froze on the ground it drew down through the ground and froze his linesI was out a couple times for this put a new pump in his septic , no charge for the pump or the travel timeEach time travel would be three hours roughly, return trip."
At the time of installation, I mentioned my house did not have eaves troughs (not all houses do, this is not neglect) and suggested the piping be run around the south side of the houseYou said this would not be a problemApparently it wasAs this is something I agreed to, I have taken responsibility to rectify the situationHowever this is not the issue at hand, nor was it the reason things freezing inside the tank itself, which was the root cause of the winter freezing
"I was also out his way to install inspection ports for his septic field which is required by the countyHe replied that he didn't need it done, that the county had already inspected and everything was goodI told him that I had a letter from the county saying that this work needed to be completed*** said no, everything is good, leave it the way it isSo I did, even thou I was there ready to do the work( I told him he's on his own then later when the county requests this be done)."
*** No such letter was issued for my propertyWe discussed the situation and agreed that leaving well enough alone was the best courseI thought I was trying to save you some workAs you agreed so quickly, I believe this was the case
"Then the cistern issue, I did suggest he could monitor the tank for water level without using the waterI was out a couple times for this as wellThe last time I was in the tank I took pictures of the seal on the tank for proof that it was installed properlyI have shown the pictures to *** so they know as wellAs for *** he has never requested to see pictures and wouldn't know enough about it anywaysHe is more than welcome to receive these pictures if he would likeI spent over an hour IThe tank the last time going over it thoroughly making sure I wasn't missing anything*** A few days later I got a message and then a call from ***He was calling me, telling me what to do, telling me it's all my fault ( which it is not)I have done nothing but try to helpSo when I get this call from him, telling me what to do not asking or having a reasonable conversation about itYes I told him I'm done with doing charity work for him

Finally, the issue at handPictures do not say whether or not a tank leaksI did ask you for a copy of the pictures, twice (once the day you took them, and once on the phone)You said you would send them to me, I have never received themHad the installation been performed correctly, the tank would not be leakingAfter speaking with *** I texted you (did not call) as I wanted a paper trail of the conversationThe only call I made was to see if you had got my textAt no point did I "tell you what to do" aside from giving*** a call***
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2015/08/25) */
There is nothing wrong with the installation of this tank*** I do this for a livingSure things can go wrong
That is why I went through the processes that I have to double check inside the tank/ take pictures to make sure that my part was done correctlyPictures do show that the green seal is there between the two pieces all the way around the tankAs for the water leak stopping as it gets lower, it's called hydraulic pressureThe less water, the less pressure, less leakingYou should grab that stuff from the tank company and apply it to all the cracks at the bottom of the tank and any other cracks that you may find
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2015/08/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

The proposed resolution is to correct the problem myselfHe admits there is a problem, but is unwilling to do anything about itHe did send me a copy of the pictures recentlyThey are fairly low resolution, but they appear to show evidence of staining(leaking) at the seam, as well as cracks at the bottomThis is contrary to everything that was said both to myself and*** up till now
