I hired Brain T [redacted] to remove the existing center column and (2) 12 inch beams in the kitchen that would provide an opened concept and a continuous flat ceiling. Mr. T [redacted] informed this was not problem as he just completed this process in his own house where there were not beams showing and the ceiling was flat. After assessing the job. The cost was $ [redacted] labor and I supply the material. Once he started the work, he informed be that he could remove the column but the larger beam would have to stay. No problem. I live and work in another area. therefore I presented him with the check for $ [redacted] with the expectation the work would was going to be completed later that afternoon. The tenant sent the photos of the work... I was surprise to see the column removed and everything else the same...... He informed me it was better what is was..... He made a lot of excuses as to why he needed to do it that way. That's the problem. He did it his way; fastest that would save him
