Hello ***
I am writing in response to your email about the complaint file against my company by ** *** ***
I am really sorry to hear that ** *** is having issues with her houseThis is the first time I have been communicated by anybody about the problems that
she is having
First I will like to address that the material used in her house is made by the noplumbing manufacturer in America (moen).Moen has an excellent reputation and we have used their product for almost as long as we have been in businessHaving said that any company can have issues and if Moen did have issues, they would have stood behind their product and fixed it
The biggest issue is communicationif homeowner never tells us anything, how do we know that she is having problem
we have built homes in linkside and had this problem happen in housesMost of our homeowners are happy and satisfied
I feel bad that ** *** is not satisfied with us and to make her happy, I can send my drywall guy to repair her water damage (although it all happened after her one year warranty had expired)i am just doing it in a good faithi would like her to be satisfied

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I just believe the response my builder emailed was bogus...there has been a total of five houses in inside townhouses that this has happened too. I for him to state replace dry wall I have attached photos there is so much more than a little drywall issue. My ceiling was coming down. This has bee. The second instance in three mo ths with the same valve just to my other shower this time...I did not contact the builder just because my warranty was up and I had issues that were covered under warranty and they were and still not fixed or addressed

+1

We are in receipt of [redacted]'s response and would like to restate that we are willing to help in fixing her house. We saw the pictures attached and saw the damage done by the water .
Although unfortunate but it's neither the plumbers nor U & I Builders fault. A plumbing fixture failed and having said that, the plumbers and U & I Builders will stand by [redacted] and resolve this issue.
Here are a couple of things that we need to do:
1) U & I Builders will send the drywall company to start fixing the ceiling that is the first thing that is needed to be fixed.
2) The plumber asked [redacted] to give him the cracked valve
so he could report it to Moen but was never given the valve . So in order for Moen to jump in and start helping out with the damages they will need those valves .
Please advise us regarding both of those above mentioned items as to how to proceed.
Although your warranty  has expired I want to assure you again that you will find U & I Builders to work as hard as possible to fix your house and stand by you in this hard time. We will work with you to resolve all issues with the plumbing company and Moen.

Review: I have purchased a townhome built by U and I builders in the [redacted] community just last year. I had tried to schedule a yearly walk through for about 3 weeks now. We have leaks coming through the ceiling destorying the drywall. We were told over and over that someone would be getting in contact with us and they never did. A friend of mine in the develpoment has also complained about leaks and their home being poorly built.Desired Settlement: I would like for U and I builders inc. to do the yearly walk-thru and repair the damages as was promised.

Response:

Case ID: 9647792

[redacted] bought a town home from our company on April

26, 2013. Every town home has a 1 year warranty and [redacted] warranty

expired on April 26, 2013.

It is the home owners responsibility to let us know about

any issues before their warranty expires. As you can see from [redacted]

email (please see attached) he communicated with us on July 15, 2013 which is

almost 3 months past his warranty period. In good faith we forwarded his

concerns to our mechanical contractor, who contacted him on July 22nd and was

told that he already had another HVAC company look at it. As far as his leaks

in the ceiling is concerned, (although it is not under warranty) the mechanical

contractor has contacted him to determine the cause of the leak and try to fix

it.

[redacted] claim that he has been waiting for 3 weeks is

completely wrong and a lie.

We have acted swiftly to resolve his concerns and will do so

for all of our customers.

Response:

I was told by my relator that after my first year I would receive a yearly walk-through. I emailed U and I inc. waited a week and no response. Then I called and had spoken to their secretary and was told somone would be getting in contact with me but never did. A couple days later my wife called a they told her, U and I inc is aware of the situation. A few days passed so I called again and finally they gave me a number to call about my a/c unit (but not about my leak) and said someone will be contacting me. Only after my complaint filed with the Revdex.com has anyone tried to contact me in regards to my issue, even if it's just to say that my 1yr warranty has expired. After the filed complaint I've finally gotten a response to my complaint, from an email and then a phone call on 8/6/13 scheduling an appointment to fix the leak if it's not my fault( it's not). I did not lie about the lenght of time it has taken to get a response. If not for the Revdex.com Idont if or when I'd hear from them.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9647792, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me if the problems get taken care of and not falsely blamed on my part.

Review: I have two issues in the last 4 months where I have had leaks and the leaks has caused damage to my home and my personal belongings...my home is not the only home in my neighborhood that has had this issue. The water company MOEN....has had pin holes in two pieces of equipment in my home whom U And I builders have built and used these itemsDesired Settlement: This has been a headache over a 4 month period.....I believe this is crazy this home was just purchased June 11, 2012. I have had some major issues take place this year and I am not a satified customer they are using faulting equipment and me as a homeowner has to pay and deal with the consequences. My home is unlivable I have no florring on my main level no ceiling due to the issue.
