Dear [redacted]During out meeting on March 14, 2015 I had clearly explained to you in detail the problems associated with your roof and some of the possible temporary solutions.  It was determined at the time that the roof shingles are nearing the end of their physical life and should be...

replaced in the near future.  However, a temporary solution was mutually agreed upon between us.  The temporary solution included the installation of a ridge vent, installation of new plumbing collars, and the re-nailing and sealing the shingles that were beginning to cup and lift.All of this work was completed in a professional manner by our service technician at the end of March 2015.  We were contacted by you near the end of July of 2015 indicating that the work was only partially completed.  This is simply not correct.  The problem of cupping and lifting of the shingles shall be an ongoing problem until the roof is replaced.  As discussed this is a common occurrence for roof shingles as old as the ones on your home.  The photos you provided of the galvanized flashing for the chimney stack is typical and common and not part of your problem.M.A.K.
