I am writing in response to your letters in regard to a disgruntled husband, who filed acomplaint that he was overcharged...

for services rendered.
Let me first start by saying there is no "we" (as printed in his message to me) in any ofUDirty Dog's dealings with the person who scheduled the appointment for this dog, brought the dog in for the appointment, was called during the appointment or picked thedog up when done. The person that made the appointment, was quoted pricing during a 6minute detailed call (that was overheard by a co-worker), scheduled the appointment andwas told again of the prices was [redacted]. I think that is his wife. He was not therenor ever present or talked to prior to [redacted]'s appointment with their dog. He onlycalled to complain of being overcharged and wanted a refund. I returned his call, told himeverything as I will tell you below and was called a liar. I was told that his wife is anastute, intelligent woman and would not have misunderstood anything. What she relayedto him was the truth and that was that. He was happy with the hair cut but wanted a $20refund on the express groom fee. I told him no. We provided all that she had asked forand there would be no refund. He was not happy with my response and said that in somany words. He said he was going to cancel his charge. I told him to do what he neededto do. He has already attacked me on social media, now the Revdex.com. I have responded toboth. I have not seen a reverse charge as of yet. But if I do, I will file a complaint with theSheriffs dept for theft of services. Following this I want no further dealings with him orthe Revdex.com in regards to this matter.
The below statements are true to the best of my knowledge;[redacted] called my shop for a groom appointment on a 13 yr old Jack RussellTerrier. Concerned about his age, she wanted an in and out service (express groom; Anexpress groom means we work on your dog start to finish no interuptions. . I told herwe did not take dogs aifter the age of 12 unless they were a client of record. Groomingcan be stressful for an elderly dog and it's not worth risking a possible health issue or agerelated complication. She assured me her dog was nice, had been groomed regularly andnever had any complaints. Against my better judgment I took the appointment. She wasquoted 45.00 for the hair cut and 30.00 for the express groom (in and out service). Shemade the appointment for 4-27-2016. The day of the appointment, she was againreminded of costs at check in. She filled out paperwork, met the groomer and left the dog. After her pooch was bathed, the groomer attempted to dry him with the hand dryer. Herdog would not tolerate it and started howling. This happens when dogs are elderly, earsensitive or have hearing loss. So, I called [redacted] and let her know that he was unable tobe hand dried and we would have to crate dry him, therefore taking a bit longer. We thenput him in a crate and he started barking. Because he was a crate barker also, we had tosit by his side consoling him for 20 minutes till he was dry enough to complete the haircut. [redacted] was then called to pick him up.
A little over 1.5 hours in total. We charged her 45.00 for the groom and 20.00 (instead of30.00) for the express groom because he had to be crated. However, her dog was neverleft unattended. That's what in and out service is. I could not help another client, answera phone call or check in or out any dogs during that time. This man's wife got exactlywhat she asked for. The dog's age and groom shop ability required us to makemodifications to her request, but she got exactly what she asked for and paid for, and wascalled. This pet received one on one service the entire time in our shop. Had their dogbeen able to be crate dried without the dog being stressed out and barking, I would haveforgone the extra charge. But because he was 13, barking in the crate, he requiredsomeone by his side the entire time, she was discounted 1 0.00, but still charged a partialexpress fee. Our time is not free, like her husband thinks it should be.
Our express groom prices are clearly marked at out front desk, [redacted] signed ourrelease form and agreed to services rendered. We provided as best we could, exactly whatshe wanted for her dog; A stress-free groom. I have no desire to mediate on anythingregarding this matter. [redacted] was provided a service that she was quoted, agreedto and signed for. I have witness to that fact. Letter enclosed. Her husband was not anypart of this transaction.
Enclosed you will findCopy of [redacted]'s signed releaseCopy of ad on services that we have at desk entryCopy of our price sheet for Jack Russell Terriers
I seriously doubt that any of this will change how Mr [redacted] feels. I have always gone bythe motto that the customer is always right. Except now. He is Cleary wrong and will notreceive a refund of any kind from our shop.
Kind regards,
