We are very disappointed to hear of Ms. [redacted] distress.  We carefully explain at the time of purchase that we sell only new and unused parts and that once a part is installed it is no longer returnable. When the water pump was returned it was marked from the installation, it had residual...

water in it and was dirty.  When these items were pointed out to Ms. [redacted] she took a tissue and wiped off the dirt, shook out the water and pronounced the part "good as new." We wish we could refund her money, but her part is no longer in salable condition for us. Our terms are plainly printed on the front of the invoice and repeated on the back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
The last message I received from the owner of U-Fix-it, made me the offer of meeting with me.  I would like to meet with him at his store, with the product and I will be filming. Thank you, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: That is incorrect information. I never cleaned any part.  I would like to get a response from the owner of the company, since the person presently responding is incorrectly representing the company.

Ms. [redacted], We are happy and eager to refund our customer’s money whenever we can.  Our customer is happy. We are happy. Everyone is happy. I know you honestly believe the pump you purchased from us was not installed, but that is not what the pump shows.  To the unpracticed eye the installation telltales may seem superficial and of no consequence, but to those of us in the parts business these marks are glaring faults that disqualify the part from being resold as a new part.  We will not sell a pump to you or anyone else that shows evidence of installation. There is no sliding scale. The part is unused, or it is not. Used parts do not go on our shelf, they go in the trash. We apply the same standard to everyone. I will be happy to make an appointment to personally meet you at our store and give your pump a second look.  If the pump does not show evidence of installation, I will happily refund your money and apologize for causing you a second trip.
