We moved from Nashville to Florida in October and they stored our items for a few weeks for a pretty pennyWhen we began to unpack the entire back end of the truck was in a puddle of water which meant all of our items in the back were completely ruined We couldn't get someone on the phone because their offices are closed over the weekend and then when we did we were told if we didn't empty the truck completely we would be finedWe explained we would not be putting moldy items in our home and exposing our new home and family to harmful black mold and they consented to not CHARGE us! Thank you so much for ruining our stuff and not charging us guys! We have four children and had not mattress to sleep on while we waited for them to let us know IF they would pay for us to replace our ruined itemsWe tallied the amount lost and after about months received a fraction of what was owed usVery disappointed and really don't want others to go through what we did We had a lawyer look at our contract and told us no one has any business ever signing such a one sided agreement

Choosing the right moving company is stressfulI've moved enough to have experienced the good and the bad, so I want to share about a company that is good...U-Pack
My experience with U-Pack was great! The ordering process was straight-forward, and they delivered the trailer to my house when they said they wouldAfter we loaded it, we called for pick up, and it the driver showed up on time When the trailer arrived at our final destination across the country, we realized that we found out that we could not move in to our house right away, so we asked if we could rent the trailer for a month, still fully loadedNo problem at all, their phone staff was very friendly and accommodating and arranged it at a really reasonable price
This was a great company to work with from start to finish The pricing was good, their service was excellent and our trailer was delivered on time Everything in side was in good shape If you are considering a move, check them out

UPack is great - we've had to use them twice in two years, and both experiences have been exceptionalTheir customer service staff is very friendly, helpful, and provides accurate information
Their trucks are delivered at the appointed times, and their dispatch service teams both locally and nationally have been outstanding
The truck drivers who deliver and pithe trailers are also great, very friendly and helpful
We would recommend using UPack if you need to move and want to save money - they are a great companyThank you for your assistance!

We hired U-Pack for our move from Broomfield, CO, to Murrells Inlet, SC No problems with the front-end in Broomfield, from delivery of our ReloCubes to pick-up, but the back-end of the delivery process was filled with poor communication First, although we received a text stating the cubes would arrive between the 6th & the 8th, Friday - Sunday, we were NOT informed that WE had to call to schedule delivery from Florence, SC (hrs away) to our new home When we called late Friday to ask about status, that's when we were informed that we had to call the Florence terminal, on MONDAY, the 9th, to schedule delivery Then, when we called Monday morning, the dispatcher informed us that he didn't have a driver available to make the delivery that day, and that we'd see our cubes tomorrow (Tuesday) He failed to mention that his Tuesday driver was a "floater" who works jobs and wouldn't be in until PM (he told us later) That suggested we would see our cubes sometime around PM Then, when I called the dispatcher again on Tuesday, around PM, the dispatcher told us his driver didn't arrive until PM, but was "on his way"!!! We called again, at PM, and were told the driver was delayed, but should be there soon The driver and our cubes didn't arrive until PM on Tuesday When our driver & cubes arrived, he informed us that he didn't think he could load our cubes onto our driveway, stating that the "good forklift" was given/taken to another facility, and the one he had to use (brought with him) might not be good enough to get up the slope to the driveway He was correct, as I watched him struggle to get the cubes off the trailer, and witnessed the forklift's failure to rock the cubes back against the vertical bars for transport We had to risk a fire-lane violation, as he placed one cube at the end of our driveway, and set the second one halfway between the front lawn and the street Because we were concerned about a citation, we unloaded the cubes that night
Although we complained about the issues we experienced, including a response to the quality manager's query about our satisfaction (or lack of), we've not heard anything from U-Pack since They got paid, and seem satisfied to ignore our complaints
We highly recommend using another service for your moving needs

We have two movings this summer in our familyOne for my husband from Atlanta to Lawrence, Kansas, the other one from Dallas to LA for myselfBoth the moving is not charged as it should be
The one from Dallas to LA, we reserve a 17' the trailerThe charge should be +/- $per foot we actually usedWe used out of the ftBut they still charge for 17ftWhen I call the UPack about this, they told me they do not have a record of how much I fill the trailer, which the UPACK driver who pick up the trail are supposed to fillI was ask to provide picture evidence on how much I fill! They charge the maximum because they fail to record the exact feet I am using
For the moving from Atlanta to Kansas, the sale man told my husband there are day free storageWe stored for two monthSo we should pay for only one month, but they finally charged for two monthsWe called UPACk again, the person told my husband that the day free storage was not written on the contract
I can only conclude that the UPACK is just trying to fool you from every order

I first contacted UPack while looking for a cube moving company four days ago I received an online quote that was also emailed When I called to reserve the trailer which was more flexible than the cubes, I got someone totally different who changed the price completely, claiming prices are always going up and that no quote is good for longer than minutes The quote says it's good for days Apparently not After that I had several relatives call and get quotes for the exact same trip They differed by over $for the exact same move In addition, every single person we talked to lied over and over again from everything to the cost to how the linear footage was calculated to the storage fees They recorded our email addresses and keep sending us spam It's hard to trust a company with so many liars on board Each one said they didn't determine the rate, that UPack did That was also a lie because they were all independent contractors paid by commission who varied the price by $ I'm blown away by the level of dishonesty Called Packrat I can't imagine using UPack Way too dishonest

We decided to go with Upack to move our stuff from Houston to Baltimore because storage pods seemed to be one of the more cost efficient optionsHowever, once in Baltimore it turned out to be long and anxious days without all of our stuffWhat should have been to days without all of our stuff turned out to be days without our thingsDelivery of the pods went as scheduled and the driver was very friendly and efficientPick up of the pods is where the whole move went wrongWe finished packing the pods on SaturdayBut ABF Freight and Upack are closed on Saturdays and SundaysIt would have been helpful if someone with ABF or Upack could have cautioned me and helped me arrange pick up prior to Saturday to avoid the delaysI was able to reach someone at an after hours call center and relay the message that our pods were ready to be picked upI then followed that call up with a call to local dispatch on Monday to have the pods picked upWe arrived in Baltimore early Monday eveningI tried several times to track the movement of our freight with no luckI called dispatch on Tuesday to find out what was going on and our stuff still had not been picked upMy freight that was ready on Saturday to be moved did not get picked up until Wednesday!!! It arrived in Baltimore on Friday, but again, since ABF is not operational on Saturday or Sunday, our stuff could not be delivered until MondayUGGHA whole week without our stuff while we are trying to adjust to a major upheaval in our lives stinksThink extreme boredom and back aches from sitting and lying in the floor for days; think going stir crazyI will never use ABF again and I strongly caution you against doing so, eitherIt would have been worth the extra $spent on a more expensive long-haul carrier to have our stuff delivered in a timely fashion so we wouldn't be so long (a full seven days) without our furniture, clothes, and housewares

Best moving experience ever! Found U Pack on movers.com top 8 container movers. Called and they had the best price, fastest delivery and went from there. At the drop off and pick up the drivers were great. Daniel at the Duncan SC gave me great advise on how to pack the pods and called to make sure I did ok. They arrived in NY in 2 days (they guaranteed 3-4)!! Thank you U Pack!!

U-pack promptly made the deal. Did give a huge deal to deliver on the agreed time. After a little argument, trailer was delivered. They misquoted the measurement by 3 feet. They did not deliver according to agreed time and instead wanted an unpredicted window of 8a-5pm which is ridiculous. After more than 25 phone calls they had to listen and deliver as they promised. They had to agree to real used space after a painful experience. The ABF at Philadelphia did not want to deliver unless I paid for the false price. Good luck with these folks. I don't know if the rating they get is real.

Miscommunication within Miami location and wrong cube size also wrong delivery date. Items were deliversed to Paterson location with no email or alert to customer as to arrival...when I contacted Paterson location was rudely talked to by John night supervisor who wasn't even aware that my cubes were there at his location. Explains that delivery will be some time next day without giving me any time frame ...upon requesting a courtesy call and a specific time frame he told me he was making notes into the system to advise the staff for next day... reassured me of 8 to 12 delivery and 1 hour phone call before. Non of which happened. Driver shows up at 10: 11 at when he calls and leaves... call Paterson location was again confronted with day supervisor Andrew who read all notes by John that stated that I yelled at him and nothing I wanted done was on the notes. Andrew processed to ask me if I'm going to yell at him like I did John which never happened and then he tells me we called u... and the driver left . I also was hung up on by him ...giving me no delivery time or any answer but hung the phone up on me. This has been a 2 and a half week process... ive been up waiting for them since 7am...and my people that are helping are gone...now im stuck by mysrlf to unpack 2 cubes of heavy furniture by mysrlf . This has cost me$1600 to deal with rude unprofessional, not customer friendly, very disorganized and not willing to take care of the customers. Spokewith supervisor in main headquarters. She also did nothing to resolve issues her name is Nicki. A nightmare... and I'm still waiting ...so 7am until whenever they decide to come back. Unbelievable

This is by far the worst moving company I have ever used. I have used quite a few different moving companies in the past, due to moving a lot with the military. Everything seemed to be going great until I had to call to give the final delivery address. I called the number on my email and the guy that answered was rude and transferred me to someone else. When that someone else picked up, he was also rude and asked who transferred me to him. He then tried to transfer me to someone else, but I got him again. He tried 2 more times and finally on the second try, someone else picked up and then transferred me to someone else. Finally, after getting to the lady they were trying to transfer me to, said she couldn't take the address and I needed to call another number. I called that number and got the same lady that had just given me a different number. She gave me a different number, same thing happened. I cursed and asked to speak with her supervisor and she hung up. I tried the new number she gave me again and the very first guy I talked to answered and said someone at the correct number was trying to call me, which no one ever did. I asked to speak with his supervisor and was told "I don't care, you're still going to have to pay," stated he was at lunch at 2:30pm and hung up. I logged onto the website and there was a different number. I called that and got the same lady that hung up on me. I called back and this time I didn't hit any of the menu options and got someone completely different. He actually took my address, gave me the cost of how much it would be to get to the hub and then told me they don't offer service to my new address. He informed me that I would have to rent another moving truck, drive to the hub, unload all my household goods onto that moving truck, drive to my address, then unload everything again. I was never told this when I had first placed the order to move, otherwise I would have went with a different moving company that would actually deliver to my new house. Who in their right mind would want to unload a moving truck onto another moving truck, just to unload again once they get to their new home? I will never recommend this company as a moving company and I have no idea how they are still in business. At this point, I will be refusing all payments made to this company and flying back to my old location, unloading all my stuff onto a moving truck and driving everything to my new home, personally. Something I should have just done in the first place.

Truck was quoted to come anywhere from 2-6pm. Hired movers to help at 5pm. Truck was a no show at 6pm. Told it was leaving the terminal now, expect in 30 min. No truck at 7pm. Told there was a wreck on the interstate, truck should be leaving now, expect in 30-45min. Thought you said it was leaving the terminal an hour ago? 8,9,10pm come and go. I send the movers home and lose out on a couple hundred bucks. I speak with probably 15 different people on the phone, most tell me its not there department or the people I need to speak with go home at 5pm. Hung up on twice and lectured by one person about knowing better than to hire movers the day of instead of the next day, its in the contract so its on me. What? no it isn't, is this how you talk to customers? 11pm truck arrives, just 9-5 hours late. Speaking with the driver he tells me he was not backed up from traffic he had to go pick up my trailer from the other side of town at another residence, take it back to the terminal and get a ramp then come to my house. So my truck was not at the terminal nor was it leaving at any point. It had to be picked up from someone else's house on the last run of the day. He said they do this all the time to people. Mind is blown with all the info received.

Spoke with supervisor in the morning, she said she was sorry I was unhappy but they technical fulfilled the contract by getting the truck to my house before midnight. Thats like me going to a restaurant and ordering a burger and they bring out a chard hockey puck and tell me, "well its technically a burger and thats what you ordered." No remorse no solution no offer to rectify the situation. All I get is her saying "what do you want me to do." I asked for money off my $4000 bill...$300. Nope, they usually just do $50 off, oh boy, thats not good enough. I tell her that they will lose thousands by never getting me as a customer again and anyone I tell and any review I post on the internet about not using their service. She doesn't care, said she'll do $100 off and no more, I was done with the conversation and the company, I had a truck to pack.

Will never use or recommend this service to another living soul. Turned an already stressful situation into a nightmare.

We moved from Nashville to Florida in October and they stored our items for a few weeks for a pretty penny. When we began to unpack the entire back end of the truck was in a puddle of water which meant all of our items in the back were completely ruined.

Thank you so much for ruining our stuff and not charging us guys!

We have four children and had not 1 mattress to sleep on while we waited for them to let us know IF they would pay for us to replace our ruined items. We tallied the amount lost and after about 3 months received a fraction of what was owed us. Very disappointed and really don't want others to go through what we did.

We had a lawyer look at our contract and told us no one has any business ever signing such a one sided agreement.
