Review: I rented a car through U Rent Auto in mid-July 2013. In addition to paying for the car, I was told I also needed to put down a $500 deposit which would be refunded after I returned the vehicle. I brought it back that same evening. When I received my credit card statement at the end of July, I realized that I did not get the $500 credit and was charged another $500 (for a total of $1,000). I tried calling the merchant for an entire week hoping to rectify the situation and every time it was either evaded, ignored, or met with false promises (e.g. "The manager will take a look at it this afternoon", which was the same answer the next day). I even faxed over a copy of my statement at their request and proactively followed up with them every single day. No results, just given the run around day in and day out. I eventually gave up because I was getting nowhere and filed a dispute with my credit card company.Desired Settlement: I would like the $1,000 credited back to my account permanently.
