Our company policy when a guest cancels a rental reservation is a 15% cancellation feeThe guestImplies In error that they purchased their property through our companyThey used another company to buy the property, so we suggested they talk to that agent about their financial concerns

I am writing to you in response to your concerns about your recent rental at [redacted]I am sorry that you did not feel that the home was to your liking, in regards to the trees covering the front of the home. We have offered this home for rent for many years, and have never had a complaint...

about the trees and landscaping, as most guests say they enjoy the privacy as the home sits on a busyintersection.I understand there were some other minor issues with the home, but you requested that they get fixed after you had left. I can see your point about the photos of the home being somewhat misleading, we have since changed them on our website. However I do not feel that it warrants a 50% refund of your rental.The owner has refused to offer a reimbursement. I am willing to refund you all of the money that we collected on thisrental from our fees, which would come to $376. I hope you find this an adequate solution,and that is all I can do.We will be forwarding a check to your address in [redacted]. Once again, I apologize for the circumstances.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As I stated in my original complaint, we are fully aware of the rental contract terms and conditions and are not implying that BHH (Rehoboth Beach) violated that policy.  However, first and foremost, we did not imply that we purchased the property through your company; we emphatically stated it as such.  Your company was the listing broker for the property we purchased and was compensated their customary commission fees.   As we thought, there was no time taken in addressing any issues brought up in the original complaint i.e. early cancellation, years of renting with your company and your company being compensated for the purchase of my vacation home.  Your company obviously lacks the desire or ability to be flexible in its dealings with its consumers and only considers the “bottom line”.   Our hope is that this complaint will make other customers who may be interested in purchasing/renting property with your company to step back reflect and make a wiser decision in the future.
