I have a copy of the email we sent to this customerLiterally none of what he said was accuratePoint by point each statement was erroneousWe never referred to him as a herWe never listed the price of classic car roundup, and we certainly did offer a list of replacement magazines via email, so this is truly bizarreI am copy and pasting the email we sent to him below: "Hi ***, Classic Car Roundup cant be sent on bonusPlease select another
title from our package creatorYou can view the many of choices on the
four lists underneath the magazine images at the following link:***Please email us the name of one magazine you would like and we
will send it out right away. Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience." This email seems pretty straight forward and you may send it to him and we will do the same and re-send it to himIm really not sure why he's having so much trouble with the offerSorry for all the confusion. Sincerely, -The Support Team***

We actually did offer her a replacement magazine even though her original subscription delivered in digital format for the full length of the subscriptionWe gave a list of replacement titles, but she wanted something that was not on that list (which contains hundreds of popular magazines)We cant
just give her a $magazine subscription as a replacement for a $orderIf she would like one of the replacement magazines we offered, she may email us at ***. Thanks!

Review: Sunday 11/16/2014, I rented a van from this business. I was told to return the van with the exact gas that was in it when I picked it up. I did just that. the receipt is marked the same as ar as gas in and gas out, upon checking my receipt, I was charged for fuel, $9.70. I called to inquire about it and was yelled at, hung up on and ACCUSED of stealing a hand truck. I DO NOT HAVE NOR DID I STEAL A HAND TRUCK FROM ANYONE...This person is ACCUSING me of stealing a hand truck. I did not rent or even inquire about a hand truck when I rented the vehicle. I returned it promptly and correctly and paid $150.00 for the service, the next day my CC was charged $25.60 more. As I said, when I called to inquire, I was yelled at and hung up on. I contacted them on the "contact us" section of the website and the response was still about the hand truck...I can forward the responses if necessary. Please help, I am only trying to resolve my beig overcharged and I keep getting yelled at when I call. Thank You.Desired Settlement: Defamaton of Character is a serious offense. I did not steal a handtruck. This business told me in the email, that they are reporting me for stealing a hand truck. I did not do anything of the sort, I do not know why this person continues to say that to me. If it was reportred to uhaul as he said he would do, I would like him to UNreport it as it did not happen and that is a FALSE ACCUSATION that he persistently continues to say. I also would like my money refunded for being treated this way.

Review: I rent a truck from this company (U-SAVE CAR AND TRUCK RENTAL)on June 1(Friaday) for movingUnfortunately, during my moving I bumped into my friend's carWhen I returned the truck to the company very next day on June(Saturday)The office was closed, so I couldn't report it, however, I reported to my insurance company [redacted]What makes the situation even worse is that I left the key on the truck when I returned it as I didn't know
that I suppose to put the key in the drop boxThe next day, June 3(Sunday), I went to U-SAVE trying to report what happened, they told me that they've rented out the truck, they need to see if there is any damage on the
truck when the customer return itI didn't know until Wednesday (June 6), when I tried to report the damage to U-SAVE again by a phone call, that the car had been sit in their parking lot from the day I returned it, which is
June (Saturday)U-SAVE claimed that they didn't know it was there because they didn't see the keyU-SAVE doesn't seem to want to solve problems hereThey told me, they don't want to speak with me when I called to
ask for picture and estimations of the damage as what I told them is different from what they understoodThey want to talk directly to [redacted]When my insurance company finally told me that they get to speak with the rental
car company, and they are waiting for the pictures and the estimation from the rental car company for now, I called the rental car company again to make sure everybody is on the same pageThe manager [redacted] answered my
callI asked him when does he think [redacted] can get pictures and estimations from themHe told me, quote "they will have it when I send it." He also told me that I am expecting my issue to be his priority when he has other
things to do and when it takes me a week to report the damage(which is not true because I reported the very next dayThey were the one telling me the truck was not there.) He hanged up on meI called them again, and
was put on hold for good.Desired Settlement: U-SAVE is charging me business loss for wasn't able to rent out the truck for those days when truck was actually in their parking lotI understand that I am responsible for returning the car with the key in their drop box
However, aren't they partially responsible when they told me they rent out the truck on Sunday by looking for the keys instead of checking inventory? Moreover, how can I know that if they were able to rent out the truck if
it wasn't damaged? Last, they were extremely rude

Review: I am writing about U-Save Auto Rental, with branches in [redacted] and [redacted]. I recently rented a car online from this vendor at the [redacted] branch. First of all, they called me 2 days before my rental date to let me know that it was unavailable at [redacted] and that I would have to go to [redacted] to pick it up. This was an inconvenience to me but at this late date cars were unavailable at other rental sites so I did not have an option.

When I arrived in [redacted] for pickup on the date of rental, they did not have a car that I reserved (mid-sized SUV). The only available car was an extremely large vehicle which I did not want as I was driving a long distance and this would cause me to pay a lot of extra money on gas. However, it was the ONLY car they had so I was forced to rent it. As I was completing the rental agreement, the person at the desk asked me where I was driving and I told them to New York state. The agent never mentioned that there was a major extra charge for driving to New York. There is a small specification in the middle of a long rental agreement's fine print about not driving out of a 3-state area, but this is so hidden that it seems fraudulent to not make this more apparent during time of rental and in rental agreement. They charged me an extra charge of twice the full amount of the rental cost for an "out of state driving fee" days after I returned the car. They did not contact me about the charge -- it just appeared on my credit card. They did not justify why the fee was so high and unreasonable.

The business is trying to trick customers into paying unfairly high hidden fees by hiding material information in small print, and not advising customers of this at time of rental.

When I called to inquire about the charge, the manager was extremely rude and derogatory.

Please investigate this business and their unreasonable practicesDesired Settlement: U-Save Auto rental must:

* Offer cars that are reserved -- otherwise this is a fraudulent service

* Provide customer service that is not rude or derogatory to customers

* Inform customers prior to rental and prominently in all rental agreements that cars cannot be taken out of 3 states -- instead of burying it in fine print

* Ask all customers where they are driving vehicle prior to rental and advise them of extra charge

Business

Response:

We will refund the renter $297.76 on his credit card today. The signed rental agreement does state the authorized driving area is the 6 New England states. It is common practice in the car rental industry to substitute a similar vehicle if the exact model reserved is not available. There are many reasons for this occurring. The original model reserved may have had mechanical problems, an existing renter may extend the contract etc. We substituted the next size, a 2014 [redacted] for the original model. Sorry for the confusion

Response:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #[redacted]. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved. However, I would also like to ensure that in the future the business states much more clearly (not just in fine print) during booking and in the contract that cars may not be taken out of New England, which is not a regular practice for rental cars in general.
