Review: I went to [redacted] car rental on May 5th for a 15 seat passenger van (Downpayment for rental car) Gave owner $200 cash deposit..no contract.. I called on May 8th to vary price and as agreed I would pickup on Friday, 'May 9th . I was told the vehicle they had was a 12 seater and that the price was the same. When I questioned their pricing. I told hime I want to cancelled. He refused on the phone. I went down to the site the same day. Owner refuse to refund my money. My receipt states nothing...just a hand written receipt. Call police but was told I old have to pursue some other way..they couldn't force owner to refund. When I asked the owner where was the refund policy , he says it nowhere..it just is.Desired Settlement: I work extremely hard for my money...I cannot just hand over $200 dollars!!

Review: I was in an accident that required me to need a rental vehicle which I sought out at SIXT rental vehicle. The accident was not my fault, and the other driver's insurance was paying for the rental.This is my rationale why they engaged in non-transparant/diversionary practices:1) The information that I signed was not what was communicated to me: a. the agent told me that I was all set and only told me that a hold would be placed on my credit card should something happen above any insurance claim. He then indicated that this was the document I was signing. b. This statement never indicated what insurance was being used to cover the vehicle.c. As a first time user of a rental vehicle involved in an accident I was never explained how insurances are billed, leaving me to believe that the insurance of the person that hit my vehicle was the one that would be covering the vehicle. d. When I spoke to the agent at the agency, involving this lack of communication. He stated I shouldve Known. How can I have known when I was trusting the organization to accurately communicate to me insurance liabilities as they are the experts on insurance business practices.2. Sixt never offered me their own insurance:a. This omission of offering their insurance is an underhanded way for the organization to avoid having claims placed against them and does not give the customer full choice options regarding insurance.3. I was never told that my insurance company would be liable for the car:a. As a parent of two new teen drivers I wouldve never taken the vehicle under the circumstances. insurance is high for me already and I have a vechicle which I wouldve shared with my wife.In summary Sixt was not informative of and actually guileful in regards of having me sign a document that is not what was written. They also engaged in sly business practice of not offering the full array of insurance for thier customer. They also did not adequately inform me of the insurance this is an area where they are the expertDesired Settlement: AS a result of thier underhanded business practice of not informing consumers regarding insurance, and lack of tranpsparency regarding insurance, and the ommision of offering thier customers true choice, I feel they duped me into getting into a vehicle that otherwise I would not have purchased if in fact they were honest.
