U-Save Car Rental

They wouldn’t allow additional drivers.the stress of that has made the trip frustrating as I was going to help and know the area but the driver who rented doesn’t and we were looking forward to sharing.
They made up a bogus excuse as to why they wouldn’t do it. I don’t recommend.

Never heard of a car rental place that doesn't allow its cars to go out of state of California. I wouldn't rent from this company if they were giving out free rentals

I rent a car from Usave for a three day business trip. Four month later, I received three letters from a third party company Usave hired. They claimed I had three toll violations in August, that I was not aware of at all. The total toll and penalty is less than $10. But they charge me $150 so called " administrative fee"!! $50 each toll!! They never give me the chance to pay for the toll&penalty in the first place. Now I was left no option but to pay for this ridiculous service fee! WHAT A SCAM! I am so disappointed with Usave. Obviously they make this a very profitable business. I will advise my company no longer use Usave anymore.

Review: I had a confirmed reservation with The Newark USAVE for 12/21/2013 through December 26, 2013. The reservation was made over a month before my trip over the December Holidays. I got an e-mail from USAVE a few days before I was to pick up the car. The e-mail I got was forwarded to over 50 other customers cancelled confirmed holiday car reservations. USAVE & [redacted] refused help with a new care rental. I asked for compensation due the fact another car rental at the last minute would cost quite a bit more then my confirmed USAVE reservation. I was not compensated in any way & my e-mail address & other reservation information was compromised.Desired Settlement: I would like a credit for the difference in the cost of the new car rental reservation with [redacted]. I would also like my e-mail address to be deleted & any compensation for damages due to the fact my phone # address e-mail address was forwarded to a list of other customers.

Review: I rented a vehicle From U-Save Car Rental to attend a funeral in South Carolina. The vehicle was rented on Thursday, September 12th, 2013. I agreed to pay $641.00 for the rental of a 12 passenger van which included insurance, taxes and unlimited mileage. I paid U- Save $641.00 in cash and $300 reserved to hold for incidentals. During my drive to South Carolina on Thursday it poured in New Jersey where we noticed the Windshield wipers did not work. Also, when driving the vehicle at 60 mph the vehicle would shake while we were on the highway. On Friday, September 13th, while driving on I-95 south in the middle lane the right rear tire rubber came off the car which caused the car to swerve on I-95. We controlled the vehicle and drove it to the next rest stop where we found a tire shop. I paid for a new tire because I was then informed by the representative at the tire shop that the spare and the left rear tire were also going to tear as long as we continued to drive on it. In total I purchased 2 new tires for the rear of the van and windshield wipers, which was reimbursed to me. Also, suggested from the representative from the tire company was for the owner to replace the spare tire which was also worn and to have lug nuts placed on the vehicle were also missing from the right rear tire. Because of this incident we were delayed which caused us to miss the family gather the night before the funeral. With all the problems the vehicle had it was clear that U-Save Car rental did not service this vehicle prior to renting it to me. I think this was negligent on their behalf and could have caused a serious accident on the highway. I am asking for a full refund of the car rental which he refused to give me.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund in the amount of $747.48 which is the cost of the rental company that I did not agree to initally. I agreed to pay $641.00 which is what was told to me by the representitve. I was also informaed by the representitve that she sees the quote in the system for that amount and the rental agreemnet will be corrected. Nothing has been corrected at this point and not only was I overcharged but their could have been a fatality with the tires blowing on the highway.
