Review: I made a reservation for a car rental on December [redacted] at 7:52am, and cancelled the reservation on December [redacted] at 8:21am. I was charged $58.96 for a cancellation fee, even though I cancelled within the 24 hour timeframe required to not have a fee.I have called the company 4 times, and each time I left a message and was told that the manager would call me back to discuss. I have never heard back from them.I have also called Orbitz, and they called the company as well and was told the same thing as above. I have never heard back from them.Desired Settlement: I would like my credit card credited back for the $58.96 that I was charged incorrectly and without cause.

On December [redacted], 2012, [redacted] booked a reservation ([redacted]) on Orbitz.com. He cancelled the reservation on December [redacted], 2012 at 9:21am. His reservation was for December [redacted], 2012 at 9:00am. By booking on Orbitz.com, the cardholder agrees to the terms and conditions. Based on .
Orbitz.com, cancellations must be made 48 hours ahead of time. For reservations booked on Usave.com, a 24 hour cancellation is required. [redacted] did not cancel within the timeframe provided.
We are an airport location; therefore, the majority of our business is with customers flying in through LaGuardia Airport with preexisting reservations. A last minute cancellation usually means that the vehicle is not rented out for the days booked by the previous customer. For this reason, we are strict with the cancellation policy. This information was provided to [redacted] at the time of booking.
We can provide [redacted] with a discount for a future rental, but no reimbursement can be provided for reservation [redacted]. Our policy has been confirmed by our office, the corporate office, and Orbitz.
