My name is *** *** and I am the current store manager of U WirelessWe noticed this letter at the bottom of a
mail pile and, although it is past the day window, we wanted to offer our cents
I will address his every sentence:
He did buy the refurbished phone on January 22nd,
He did bring it in on February 3rd mentioning that it was resetting itself(I think that was the issue)
We told him that we do cover our products for days from the date of purchase and that IF something was wrong we would gladly repair or replace the device
He asked for a refund
We mentioned that we do not take returns but would gladly repair or replace the device
He did ask again for a refund, so we pointed to our receipt that clearly identifies our return policy
He mostly seems upset that he wasn't specifically told about the return policy.
He also seems upset that we print our receipts on full sized paper
He mentions that he didn't ever look at the receipt until that day when he was "planning on returning the phone"
So, to me, he knew that we wouldn't accept a return for refund before he even entered our store on February 3rd
He again mentions that he is upset that we didn't "point out" our return policy on the receipt and that it isn't posted in the store
He finishes by mentioning he is upset that the phone didn't "even last weeks"
Again, U Wireless stands behind our productsWe did, in fact, replace the device after we determined it defective from the manufacturerThis was of course at no cost to the customerWe feel as though the issue was resolved appropriately since he received the same model as replacement, which is stated on our receiptCertainly it is unfortunate that a refurbished phone may not have been tested correctly at the distributor we purchased it from Again, this is why we offer a day period for warranty coverage on refurbished phones
I have attached a copy of the customer's receipt so there is a physical copy of the return policy in question
Sincerely,

Review: I bought a refurbished cell phone from this company on jan 22 2014. I noticed over the next couple of days that the phone was not acting correctly. I took it in today feb 3 2014 which hasnt even been 2 weeks. They looked at the phone and the tech said that there was something wrong with it and that they would try to fix it. I said to the its 2 weeks old and that I wanted a refund. They stated that they could only refund me a different phone or the same exact phone. I said no thank you and that I would like my money back. They told me that they dont do cash refunds. I was surprised cause there was no signs posted in the store and they never told me about there policy. They said that its was on my receipt. But heres the thing, I used my debt card to sign what looked like a regular piece of paper. so I signed it and they gave me a copy and never looked at it again until today when I was planning on returning the phone. I was never was told by any employee that pointed that out on the receipt. usually the receipts will say like you have 30 days to return the item. I just find it hard to believe that they can not have anything posted or say anything to me about there policies. I mean its hard for me to understand that I buy a phone from them and it doesnt even last 2 weeks.Desired Settlement: I would just like to get the money that I paid for the phone that doesnt work right. And they should have signs posted of there policies.

My name is [redacted] and I am the current store manager of U Wireless. We noticed this letter at the bottom of a mail pile and, although it is past the 7 day window, we wanted to offer our 2 cents.

Review: A friend referred me to U Wireless because they are an authorized agent dealing in month to month cellular plans. I visited U Wireless to see what options I had with my current and my son's current US Cellular phones. I was told our phones could be "flashed" and subsequently used on Page Plus Cellular's plan. Both [redacted] and [redacted] said it would be "no problem". I relied on them as the experts. I expected integrity, honesty and I trusted they knew what they were doing. I would not have followed through on switching to another carrier if they would have been up front and honest about the potential issues that arise when a phone is "flashed". After they took my phone (a $600 phone) and my son's phone this is what transpired: -They did not tell me US Cellular phones would have issues with the Page Plus network and that I would be better off with a Verizon phone -They could have suggested another month-to-month plan compatible with US Cell -It took hours to flash and port, took much longer than originally promised by [redacted] and [redacted]. They did not make me aware they were having issues, I was without a working phone for multiple days -After I received my phone back, no texts would come through -Calls were missed, not coming through -They tried to fix the text issue and now 2 of every text comes through -My phone says it's roaming when it's not, shouldn't be -They did not inform me that my voicemail was erased and that I would need to activate and set up my voicemail message again -My data and applications no longer work properly, they do not update -I had to make 5 trips into U Wireless to try to resolve the ongoing issues -They unlocked/flashed my phone and now US Cellular is no longer able to port my phone over to their network, the phone is inoperable now -U Wireless says they are unable to fix my phone so it is the same as when I gave it to them the first time -I just want them to make it right, I have asked for a refund due to all the issues, my wasted time, poor service, damaging my phone. The[redacted], refuses to DO ANYTHING to correct the situation. They take no responsibility for their poor [redacted], for adding insult to injury by telling me my phone is fixed when they have made it worse. My [redacted] has not been able to use his phone for 2 days now. His phone has had chronic problems as well.Desired Settlement: U Wireless promised a service, they did not deliver, they are not flexible and they are totally unwilling to take responsibility for damaging my phone. I asked for my money back and they refuse to give me anything. Instead they keep telling me to come in so they can fix it. I just want a refund and then I'll leave them alone!

I have reviewed the complaint. This issue described has been resolved. We re-flashed his phone and to our knowledge the phone is working now. We stand by our service work. We have made it clear to [redacted] to let us know if he has any issues related to the services that we have performed and we will resolve them. We have also made it clear to [redacted] that his particular phone model, even though it is from US Cellular it works very well on page plus. We have put 30 to 50 of that same phone on page plus without issue. Thank you,[redacted]262-244-1054

Rip off...

I went to UWireless to buy a sim card for the new service from GoSmart Mobile (T-mobile's new service). I wanted to get the mid-tier plan that runs $35 per month. They sold me the sim card package for $35 (plus tax) that they assured me included the first month's service. But they were unable to set up my account... I was told I was the first customer they'd had for the new service and the system wasn't set up yet. I told them I'd finish setting up the service online via the GoSmartMobile.com website. No problem.

Come to find out that UWireless was wrong and they should have sold me the sim card for the usual $8 fee (which you can order directly from GoSmart's website for $8) and $35 for the first month's service. But when I called UWireless back, I was told that they sell the sim card kit for $35 and that I'm out of luck. Their incopitance cost me $27... lame.

This is just shady business, pure and simple. Obviously I won't be back and I'd suggest you go elsewhere
