Review: M contractor ordered an aluminum store front glass door and transom. It was to be a 4 inch frame around the door. The door was delivered with a 2 inch frame. It was suppose to have two panels of 5/16 inch laminated safety glass. It came with one panel of 4/16 laminated glass. The second panel was aluminum which I did not ask for. The door was suppose to have the handle on the right so it swings left like the drawing made by the architect and the old door. The door was installed with the handle on the left and it swings open right. It hits the brick column on the right side of the building. The engineer inspected the installation and said it needed bolts and screws every 24 inches. He only found two screws on the left side and could not find any on the right. The door is not anchored correctly. The installers also used wood shims which are not waterproof. It needs to be waterproofed wood. 1. Door frame is wrong width. It should be 4 inches and is 2 inches.2. Door swings open in wrong direction and hits wall.3, I ordered two panels of 5/16 inch laminated glass. Received one pane 4/16 laminated glass and an aluminum panel that I do not want.The contractor left the job because a steel beam had to be cut and bowed out so an engineer to ensure the safety of the job. I called U2 Builders. We entered into an agreement that they would deliver the door and transom and I would pay them the balance.Desired Settlement: I asked that door and frame be replaced. He refused. It is not what I ordered. It also has to be installed securely as it is 18 feet high. Peter gave me an aluminum panel not glass. He says the one glass panel is 5/16 inch. Another door person says it is 4/16 inch. I want the door to swing the correct way with the handle on the right side. I want the door frame to be 4 inches. I want two panels of glass and the door screwed in securely.
