Review: On Saturday, November ** 2013 at around 7:45 pm, I made a call to the business in question to inquire about the process of purchasing movie tickets over the phone.I wanted to purchase a total of two tickets for the 10:50 showing of a new release movie and I had received a free movie ticket previously from there.So in essence, I wanted to know if I would be able to buy the tickets over the phone and use the free ticket or if this was not possible, I wanted to know how I would be able to apply the free movie ticket code to the online sale.When calling the business and initially speaking to a female associate I was told, with no reason why, that I wouldn't be able to purchase the movie tickets over the phone.In addition to this, she told me that the free movie ticket couldn't be used online either when purchasing the tickets.At this I asked to speak with her manager, because I couldn't understand why I couldn't just purchase the tickets over the phone, give the code of the ticket and maybe my name and telephone number for identifying purposes when I came to retrieve them.I too work in retail and am aware that this convenience is comprehendible because at my job we do it all the time as a courtesy to our customers.However that was not the case when speaking to [redacted] the manager who reiterated the fact that purchasing tickets over the phone was not possible and that I would have to physically come to the store and purchase them.So when I asked him how was that a convenience to me the consumer if I was given this ticket but had to go through the archaic procedure of visiting the establishment in person.To this he replied that the free movie ticket was not to be a convenience to the consumer and that I could use the free ticket three days in advance for a different showing time.However, like him I work and had an opportunity to go to the movies tonight, but evidentially [redacted], who also wouldn't/couldn't give me the name of his boss, doesn't possess the tact needed when working with the public.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for one of the movie tickets I would have to purchase tonight, thus using the movie ticket I already possess. I also would like to be compensated for [redacted]'s rude treatment of me with two free movie tickets and free snack for a future purchase, because I know had I went to an establishment in the city I would've received much better service and some type of courtesy given my circumstance.

Please note that we take all such complaints seriously and have investigated the facts and issues raised in his complaint. We apologize for our failure to meet [redacted]’s expectations during her visit, and appreciate the opportunity to respond to her concerns.

The theatre does not sell tickets over the phone, ticket purchases must be made at the theatre box office or through Fandango. In addition, as advised passes must be redeemed at theatre. Regardless, based on [redacted]’s complaint, [redacted] sent her a letter of apology and included two complimentary movie passes to return to the theatre as a guest of Regal.
