Review: I have asked several time not to be contacted, I feel that I was mislead when being contacted initially, I've told them I'm not interested in their services, or that of their affiliates, but they continue to contact me. I'm not even sure if they have a real company, but frankly I don't care, I just want them to stop harassing me.Desired Settlement: I want them to stop harassing me, via e-mail, and via phone.

I respond on behalf of UBM LLC, now generally known as UBM Tech. Please accept our sincere apologies. UBM Tech creates recognized and respected business to business events and publications for technology communities. It is not our intent to mislead, harass, annoy or cause inconvenience to people who may be interested in those events and offerings.

We have researched your complaint and found the following: UBM Tech’s data bases do not show a file for [redacted], the address included in your complaint. We did, however, find another record for a [redacted] whom we believe may be you. According to those records, a [redacted] signed up for a UBM LLC partner webinar and so, became part of the UBM Tech data base. That person then received additional marketing emails about webinar opportunities and then for a separate product, our digital editions. These two different products are maintained as separate opt out lists because, we believe, some of our customers may want to receive marketing emails about one kind of information, for example, digital editions, but not another, for example, vendor webinars.

We have placed the [redacted] we found on the “global” or all lists suppression and removed his contact data from UBM Tech telemarketing lists. If for some reason you continue to receive any kind of marketing from UBM Tech, I hope that you will let me know directly and immediately.
