WARNING!!! Don't believe them!!! We were told budget numbers were final hard numbers but discovered they were just estimates & several differed greatly from the contractor bids that discovered I was responsible for getting myself. For examples, electric, carpentry, HVAC, floor & tile installation & porta potty all came in at higher costs. UBuildIt assured us that all contractors were screened & vetted. Out of 13 main contractors we had bad experiences with 7 including bad & sloppy work, yelling, & profanity. While some of the problems were able to be corrected with time & money, several were never fixed. Over a week after the foundation was poured, the framer came out & left stating he would be unable to frame as the foundation was missing several key requirements. There were no footings, the foundation was not level, & there was no lip to prevent water from coming in under brick. UBuildIt did not identify any of these problems during inspections. We worked with UBuildIt & the concrete contractor to fix the problems- after being assured the foundation was good to go, the framer again refused to frame due to foundation being uneven & not level. This again caused delays. After making more corrections to the slab, UBuildIt again assured us it was good to go & we would not have more problems. Framer again refused to frame because the slab was still uneven. The floor is still very uneven. Another issue- the grout in the entire dining room comes up like sand. The contractor delayed fixing the problem, & has now left the country & can’t return. We paid UBI a lot of money up front to address many of the issues that we ended up having to handle ourselves. Based on the money provided to them for their process, we feel this project should have gone much smoother. The many delays cost us money to correct them, & thousands in added interest we paid on the construction loan.

I had the pleasure to build a home with Ubuildit Custom Homes in 2015. With Ubuildit you can be very involved (as I was) or you can "Co-Build" with the Project Manager that is assigned your "build". Either way you will get a quality home and feel good about where your dollars are going. Working with Ubuildit you actually feel like part of their families.
