Based on the pictures submitted with the warranty request I/Bennington have denied coverageAgain, based on those pictures portions of the upholstery have been damagedThe condition of the upholstery is NOT the result of defective product or
faulty workmanship
I have spoken with *** at Brookfield Bay, *** at Federal Seat Covers and Mr***In these conversations I explained the difference between defect and damage; each person I've spoken with agrees the upholstery is "damaged" and nobody knows why or how....including meI admit I do not know what caused the damageIn my last conversation with Mr*** I suggested he contact his insurance company to submit a claimI offered him discounted replacement skins as Bennington does not look to profit from this unfortunate situationI also relayed that offering to *** at Brookfield Bay
That offer for discounted replacement skins is still valid

*** *** from Bennington is basing his opinion on pictures that he has seenHe never saw the seats in person nor did he send a rep from the company to look at them as he informed Brookfield Bay he would doMr*** is not correct in what he is saying*** from Federal Seat Covers told both Mr*** and myself that the fabric was faulty, we brought some of the seats to his business for him to see*** from Federal has been doing repair work on vehicles and boats seats and covers for over years he informed us, I believe he knows fabric very well
Mr*** is doing everything he can to avoid responsibility and not honoring the Warranty Bennington offers when you purchase a boat from themVery poor customer service Mr*** very poorWe live on a lake and rest assured we will tell people what we think of Bennington boats!

pictures submittedHowever, we did forward the pictures to our canvas supplier (Sun Solutions) to get a second opinion and to rule out the possibility of a product defectAccording to our records the cover in question has been in use the previous three boating season with no reported defect or issueIt is the opinion of Bennington and Sun Solutions that "something" foreign caused the small random holes in the cover and the holes are NOT the result of material defect, flawed design or poor workmanship(note: the small random holes are not near a seam or area of high stress)

I wouldn't know what would be "something foreign" in Mr***'s description aboveI've had boats that have been docked in the same area and mannerI've cared for all three equallyAll the other boats never had this issue which is why I contend that there is a defect in the material
Unfortunately, Mr*** wouldn't return my phone calls to discuss

After conversation with persons from [redacted] Marine and [redacted] there has been no resolution. I have spoke with Ms. [redacted] and offered to collect her boat from [redacted] Marine for further review at Bennington. This is an unusual...

situation, and our intension is to determine if the cause of corrosion is due to defect or workmanship from Bennington. I have not committed to replacing the tubes, but I expect that will be part of our process.
