Review: I got an invite from job hunting site asking me for an interview (work from home). Instruction was to add a ym id on my YM list and instruction would be given as soon as I chat with the HR recruiter. The lady whose name was [redacted] (with a picture of a middle eastern woman) told me that I have to take a glance at [redacted] before proceeding to other vital business information.I made a glance to it but she never gave details about the company & instead, went on to discuss the duties and responsibilities required of the job. She asked for my name, gender, address and cell #. I got a text (congratulations) from [redacted] and was instructed to get in touch with this [redacted] for further details of the job. She demanded me to buy Printer, [redacted] ink & a check software that should be ready for [redacted]. On the flip side. [redacted] sent me a contract letter with the UDC letter head and address:UDC UNITED DEVELOPMENT CO, [redacted]. She became personal that I needed to hurry and buy those at the stores and send the scanned copies for reimbursement. After the stressful night of buying those expensive items and sending the scanned receipt & picture of the software box ,she asked to meet up online next day 7am. After waiting for hours, I messaged her that I felt everything was scam. Finally she went online and was feisty answering back with a question. She even told me she could make me very rich. She did not pursue the training after my agonizing stressful night. I have a hunch that she wanted to see the receipt with the credit card info matching it with my name, address, gender and phone number. It's good I bought those in cash and sent the receipt copy of the software application ONLY. However, I was not sure what else would be affected upon giving my information (name, loc, gender and phone #) innocently to this person.Desired Settlement: I want these people investigated. They might be using a company who is legitimate in [redacted] and trying to make applicants believe they have a branch office in [redacted] or make money here in the US. I tried calling the number but no one answers.I am not sure what "[redacted]" these people do but I got the number.[redacted] and [redacted] and [redacted].

Regards,

Review: This "company" goes onto freelance/work from home sites and places a job posting. This woman who claims her name is [redacted], has you [redacted] her for your online interview. She asks lame questions, has you check out the UDC of [redacted] website, then says she will need my responses to be reviewed by her HR person. Shortly after I received an email saying congratulations from a [redacted] saying here are your pay rates etc. they even promise benefits. So [redacted] YM's me saying I'll be receiving a start up check of $2420 that I am to deposit into my account and then issue a payment to their vendor so I can receive a laptop, printer, and other misc equipment that I will need to complete the job. I'm smart enough to know this isn't proper business practice. So I ask why they have to send me a check just to turn around and pay their vendor. Her response "it's a means for the company to know you're trustworthy with company funds" At this point I am pretty sure this is all a scam so I continue to ask questions. She tells me to meet her on messenger at 7am. I log in and 3 hours later she comes on saying she was sorry her grandmother was ill. I ask more questions and get more shady answers. I googled the company, her name, the phone number, address, etc and found nothing about it being a scam until I looked at the Revdex.com and found that someone else has the same complaint. This is not a legitimate business. They are using another business that is legitimate to run this scam.Desired Settlement: These people need to be investigated and stopped. The Virginia address listed on the Revdex.com is not the same address that is listed on the forged letter head from the real UDC in Qatar. The address listed on there is in Maryland. The phone number is the same. More people need to be made aware of this scam so it can be stopped.
