replied our email and mentioned she accept the refund on March 4, 2015. Late she sent another email about the SEVIS fee refund. On our record [redacted] never paid $200 servis fee to us.
SEVIS fee $200 is the Homeland security fee of USCIS. International student must pay it to USCIS(U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) when international student has new I-20 to study in USA. The SEVIS fee is non refundable by USCIS policy. If [redacted]’s SEVIS fee has been paid, she can’t get refund from USCIS (U.S, citizenship and Immigration services).
[redacted] paid non-refundable fee$200 for registration and I-20 processing fee (note: the $200 is not for SEVIS fee) and [redacted] was informed about the non refundable fee when she inquired for tuition and fee at first time call, also she had agreed the fee before she enrolled class.

Review: Hello,I was an international student in the USA enrolled to start an IT program at UDI Career Training Institute. I chose this school based on good references about the quality of the program. Prior to my start date, I requested for my I-20, which is a legal document required by international students in the United States, but I never received my I-20. In order to prevent myself from remaining in the USA illegally, I left. I had paid my tuition in full in cash and paid a Sevis fee for my I-20 even though I received no service from this school. I usually pay for everything with my bank card and I am very upset at myself for not paying for my tuition with my bank card. At that time, I was thinking the tuition was not a large amount so it was not a problem. I expected to start school as scheduled and did not anticipate that I would leave. After departing from the USA, I contacted Selena at UDI Training Institute for a refund, but was given all sorts of excuses and threatened that if I didn't attend classes immediately I will be reported to immigration. All this while I have been outside USA. I asked them several times how could I attend classes if I was not in the USA. Moreover, I was no longer interested in the program. This went on for several months and I have documented emails to back my story. Under the UDI school policy, students who have not started the first day of classes have the right to receive a refund of their tuition fees. After finally getting my sister, to contact the school they gave the impression they would refund my money, now are playing all sorts of games.I would like to make a formal complaint because I am entitled to my refund. In addition, I would like the school also to be investigated because UDI is not treating international students fairly and are not obeying US laws. I would be grateful if your office could follow up to request my refund on my behalf and protect other students from such abuse.Thank you and have a good day.Regards, [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like a refund send to my Canadaian address with documented proof of payment because this school is full of crooks. I have no doubt that UDI may pretend to mail my check in and some how I will never receive my check. Better yet I would prefer a direct deposit into my bank account. That way I can confirm that UDI has refunded my money.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]Please disregard my previous acceptance of the $300 fees. Before we come to any agreement I want to be clear that I paid the sevis fee but never received my I-20 and full tuition. In your website there is a registration fee of $100, process fee of 100$, and sevis fees 200$.So I would like an itemized bills of what you actually did for me. I can understand registration fees but for processing fees and sevis fees nothing was actually done even though I had paid for it.So please sent the itemized bill first via email and what amount is to be refunded so I know what to expect. My sister address is [redacted]Thank you.Best,[redacted] CC: [redacted]From: [redacted]Subject: Re: [redacted]Date: Wed, * Mar 2015 19:06:50 -0500To: [redacted]Hello,I asked my sister to contact you on behalf of me about my tuition refund. Last time I contacted you, you said to pick up a form and I told you I was not in the country. I wanted a PDF copy and you still asked me to come in person, which is impossible since I am not in the country. The school never issued my I-20 even though I asked several times. I don't understand why the school is holding on to my money especially since I never even started the first day of classes. I had to leave to Ghana urgently for personal reasons. Please refund my money back to me because I have not been in the USA since April, 2014, never received my new I-20 from your school, and never started any classes . As per your school policy I should receive my refund because I never started the first day of class. I will follow a call tomorrow.[redacted]Le Nov *, 2014 à 4:08 PM, [redacted] <[redacted]> a [redacted] :As of tokay November *, 2014 I have still not received the class withdrawal form in pdf as I requested.
