repairman flooded my basement, ruining my flooring, company unresponsive
On Monday April 14th a repairman came to my home to fix a dripping hot water tank, during the repair he must have release the water in the tank, soaking my laundry room, floor, wall, and the water also leaked into the next room and hallway. The repairman made no mention of the excessive leak, he just said to my son, that water sprayed on the floor and wall, that he cleaned it up with the towels he found, and it was unavoidable. The flooring is new, interlocking laminate, when I came home I stepped in the hallway and water was seeping out between the flooring tiles. I called customer service, and was told to phone my insurance. I asked that someone come to check out the damage, but the request was refused. I asked for a manager, but was told that a manager was not available until Weds, and that they would call me. No call came from a manager. The claims department called on Tuesday, but told me to call my insurance. No ownership for this damage. I had to clean up the mess on my own.
still no resolution, I have been calling managers, getting voicemail, then return calls with just a name and number given , no comment or resolution.
