UFC Gym Spring Valley

Review: My 15 year old son was interested in signing up at the UFC Gym Spring Valley to learn how to fight. Him and his cousin went there and tried out a free class given to them by [redacted] one of the employees there. I never actually went to the gym or met with [redacted] because I never had time. So my son uses the free 3 day pass and is interested in joining. He stops going to the gym for a couple days and he gets a call from [redacted] saying are you going to sign up if so when? My son says he would like to but doesn't have the money [redacted] says its all right just pay for one month which was $69 my sons says ok. [redacted] told my son when he went in for the free trial that $69 was for this gym only and $79 was for all the gyms across California but my son told him he will only need this gym because its the closest to our house. My son went the next day and payed the $69 from his pocket for the one month and signed papers for his member ship but they weren't really papers it was just on a computer screen thing and all it basically said was do you understand what the sales rep said? I would like to remind you my son is only 15 how can he sign papers without a parent or guardian present. 3 days after he signs up he calls the gym and tells them he would like to cancel but they say they can't do that over the phone he has to come in. My son was busy during this time because of basketball and school which was the main reason he had to quit. So he went in 1 week after the phone to cancel and talked to [redacted] about the cancellation process. When my son asked for a refund [redacted] said there is a cancellation fee which they never told my son about but my son told him that there isn't one because when he called he asked Chris one of the employees there he said there wasn't one for the month to month. [redacted] tells my son the $69 is for one year which there is a cancellation fee for and the $79 was for the month to month which he never said anything about. [redacted] says he will talk to his manager and give my son a call back but never does matte rod a fact he never talks to his manager about the refund. So my son calls the gym and asks to talk to the General Manager and one of the employees says call back in 10 minutes because he is walking someone around right now. My son calls back but no one ever answers he tries and tries until they finally pick up after almost 20 times calling and they say he left you have to call back tomorrow. My sons calls the next day and talks to the general manager [redacted] who was very rude and disrespectful to my son. He made up many excuses to not give my son his money back. The first one was the cancellation fee but my son told him no one told him about the 1 year or month to moth thing so he wasn't aware. Then he says you have to cancel within 5 days to get a refund back and my son tells him that he called within 3 and they said its alright. [redacted] said but you came in a week after so you can't get your money back as my son tries to explain that he was busy and couldn't come in which was the reason he had to quit [redacted] hangs up the phone. So my son calls back and tells [redacted] that was disrespect flu that he yells through the phon at my son and hangs up again. My son proceeds to call again but to only get his let name and then tells [redacted] to have a good day and hangs up.Desired Settlement: I Just want my sons $69 back and they should give it to him because he is a minor so he can't sign for himself and also they are trying to rip him off an drake excuses to keep his money.
