UFC Gym Waikele has been closed since March 20, 2020. There are plans to offer online training courses and gym services that are significantly different than when I signed up for membership. I requested a refund for unused private sessions and pro-rated membership fees with the general manager but was advised that corporate offices in California are closed and that my situation was not deemed to validate a refund. Health Club Act and Consumer Protection Act allows for refunds. I'm still open to working out a refund resolution.
been a member of UFC Gym since September of 2019. He has actively been utilizing his membership as well as has purchased at total of 6 personal training packages with a total of 142 sessions. He has been actively training with a coach up until the date of the mandatory temporary closure due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The Waikele location had to close as of March 20, 2020.Matthew requested a refund of his unused sessions via an email to the GM on April 14, 2020. He was told that per his signed agreements, the sessions were non-refundable, but he could take advantage of the daily virtual classes as well as virtual training. He had the option to use sessions for the virtual training or keep them for when the gym location reopened.He was not willing to work with the gym and filed a claim with his bank/credit card company. Once a dispute claim is opened, the life of claim is up to 90 days for a decision by the bank/credit card company. Due to the open claim, we are not able to process any kind of refund for him even if it were a customer service refund.He was offered to freeze the accounts if not wanting to return right away now that the gym location has been reopened as of June 19, 2020.Mahalo,Alyson POperations Manager - UFC GYM Waikele

I am rejecting this response because:
Merchant provided no reasonable options and was unwilling to work out a refund of any kind during Coronavirus pandemic. Gym can no longer provide a safe gym environment for activities and classes. Merchant left me with no choice but to file a claim with my bank/credit card company.
