While I appreciate MrYoo’s son reaching out to me, his outreach didn't solve the matter of me being compensated for my damaged coatI would still like to see what can be done to compensate my damaged coat as I reached out to the manufacturer (Via Spiga) and they informed me that; while, they are sorry to hear about my coat, they cannot take responsibility for an issue not their fault

We have done the utmost in regards to this situation to make amends with [redacted] has received compensation from [redacted] for her defective coat. As [redacted] no longer wishes to continue with her complaint we also would like to close the case. Thank you.

[redacted] Via Spiga coat is indeed ruined, but I can not accept fault for a manufacturing defect for poor materials. It would be unfortunate to lose [redacted] as a customer, but those are the facts. 1. The care label on the jacket states that this coat needs to be dry cleaned. This coat was...

handled and cared for with the same level of attention as we do with all of our customers' products. The dry cleaning process does not have a hot or more rigorous washing function. It is the same for all products. Therefore, we washed the coat as per the care label and the coat's "leather" lining did not hold up. 2. The care label on the jacket states that the trim is faux leather and not real leather. (60% polyurethane, 35% cotton, and 5% viscose) Faux leather made with the proper materials will certainly endure the dry cleaning process without problems. However, faux leather made with subpar materials have been known to crack - I have seen it in products made in China, Pakistan, and South/Central America. I have contacted [redacted] to contact Via Spiga to complain about her coat. I made a call to Via Spiga and explained the situation to them and they were sympathetic and seemed willing to help find a solution. However, as I did not have the model number, I could not go further along in the process. The contact is Val D[redacted] and she can be reached at [redacted] or ###-###-####. The call with [redacted] ended amicably. Ultimately, she wants to be compensated, but we are both hopeful that Via Spiga will compensate and/or replace her coat for her.
