Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: “I am not disputing the Uintah Recreation Centers (URC) policy I am disputing that my account should not have been charged for April or May as I file the proper paperwork with your front desk attendant prior to my move out of state to cancel my membership I issued a stop payment on my account as I did not want to be charged further The one time sign into my account in April may have been your employee checking on my account after I was charged As I issued a stop payment through my bank around that time frame My use of the UR facilities was regular and consistent April’s attendance is not consistent with my attendance, and is a one time sign in.Per our physical conversation URC has no file of my paperwork or physical record of either my membership sign up or my written paperwork to cancel membership Actually Robyn handed me another membership form for me to fill out in January when I came in to meet with her regarding the issue.Again, my dispute is not with the URC policy but with the mishandling of my account and termination of my reacquiring monthly membership fee after I filed cancellation paperwork I would like to continue to use the facilities however have been told I cannot use the facilities or my punch passes still on computer system until the fees are resolved For me to pay the fees determines I am at fault, I am not at faultHowever this is reporting negatively on my credit report.Thank you, [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

on several accounts. Our policy states that the recurring membership will continue until the customer provides a 30 day written notice. We have no account of this written notice. The May 2017 membership fee was revoked from her bank. The agreement also states that automatic withdrawals that are returned unpaid are subject to a $20 service charge that must be paid with the returned monthly fee prior to the membership being reactivated. The amount submitted to collections was $44.92. The member had until August of 2017 to clear up the issue before the amount was sent to collections. In August the collection agency would have been calling to let the member know of the amount owed. She states she had not received any calls until October of 2017 when she wanted to reinstate her membership. She also states that calls to our facility were unanswered. Our administrative staff is in the office from8 am – 5 pm,MondaythroughFriday. The voice mails that were left were answered in a timely fashion. We have trained our staff to let customers know that if they cannot physically come to the facility to cancel a written email would suffice. The policy of Uintah Recreation District is to not allow any person who has been sent to collections to reinstate a recurring membership. After discussion on the matter via email and in person, our executive director informed the patron that if the collection amount was paid the district would be happy to allow a recurring membership again.
