Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2016/01/13) */
Received business response via fax to Revdex.com -- includes copies of Buyer's Guide, purchase docs
Scan is attached; text of letter reads as follows:
"On 12-16-*** *** purchased a Chevrolet Malibu from Ulrich Motors for
plus fees totalMr *** had looked at the vehicle a week or so prior to purchasing the vehicle he was with his uncle and a young lady they looked at several vehicles and asked about the Malibu which he ultimately purchasedI explained to the group at this time that the vehicle had a book value of approximately $dollarsWe were selling the vehicle at a huge discount because the engine had noise it would need repair possibly major repair to include the possibility of replacing the engineBoth Mr *** and his uncle seemed to understand they wanted to do some checking into it further before purchasing and left a week later Mr *** called and said he wanted to purchase the vehicle I again asked if he was prepared to do the repairs he said he wasAnd that was the vehicle his girlfriend wanted & the young lady with him when he looked at the car was very vocal that the Malibu was the only car she wanted and didn't want to look anymoreI explained to her at that time that the car may need major repairs to include an engine and the cost of repairs could be thousands of dollarsA few days after Mr *** purchased the car he called and said he had the oil changed and the mechanic told him the car would need repair and possibly a new engine he asked for a refundI declinedI spoke to the manager of our store explained the situation called Mr *** back and once again explained to him he purchased the vehicle knowing full well it was sold to him 'as is' and as a (repairable?) the value of the vehicle in good working order is $again he purchased it for less than half of its market value as a repairable we offer these vehicles to the public for mechanically inclined peopleIt would be a great value for someone who could purchase a used engine & do the labor themselves unfortunately Mr *** is not that person
We had no intention of misleading Mr *** he knew full well the vehicle needed repair possibly major repair at both the first test drive and again at the time of purchase once the repairs are made the vehicle will still be worth approximately what he will have invested
As Mr *** went in to this purchase very aware the vehicle was sold as is with no warranty and knowing it was sold to him and priced fairly needing the repairs that it apparently doesWe do not feel inclined to participate in anyway on repairing Mr ***'s vehicle
Thank you
Sincerely
Mark ***

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2016/01/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't accept the business respond because they're not telling the truthFirst of all, when I went to get the vehicle, they never tell me anything that the vehicle had problemAill the concern was the moneyThey told told me that the vehicle was in good condition and its was going to take for next to years without fixing any problemThey told me the engine was in good condition and everything was perfect on the vehicleThey told me the only thing I was do the vehicle from a oil changeSo,n I don't know why they saying that they told me the vehicles have problemsRight now, I'M looking up to (Revdex.com)If Ulrich Motors can't pay half of the repair, than I would have to take the case to the next level
Hope you this respond into consideration
My regards,
*** A***

Received business response via fax to Revdex.com, 2-23-
Scan is attached; body of letter reads as follows:
"Ms *** purchased a Ford Escape with well over 200,miles for her young son for plus government fees
This was
a dollar vehicle sold as is with no warranty Ms *** is aware of this as they have purchased vehicles from us in the past
They have opted to take us to small claims court to settle this issue
We were unable to resolve this issue amicably with the complainant as the vehicle was sold as is no warranty
Respectfully,
Mark ***
