It was explained to *** *** that the advertisement for the *** *** populated the website as a Touring model automatically on our site as vin specific, it was not intentionalAlso, this unit was thousands below all of the comparable mileage touring models on the internet***
*** was told that his deposit was refundableHe did call and talk with a salesperson, who told him he needed the credit card information to refund the deposit (We shred the credit card information immediately after the charge goes thru, we are only left with the receipt which contains the last four numbers of the credit card)*** *** told the salesperson that we already had that info, and that he would not give it to us a second time for the refund, and that he would handle it another way*** *** was then told to call me for his refund, which he did not do. I called *** *** after receiving this complaint from the ***He told me that he did not think that he should have to call me, which meant another phone call for his refund, and had decided to dispute the charge thru his credit card company (Which was still another phone call)I called and explained to *** *** that because we shred the credit card information immediately, was the reason we needed the information a second timeHe told me that he did not want to hear "Because"I told him that the only way I could process the refund was if he gave me the credit card informationHe finally agreed, and his refund was processed. This problem could have been avoided, if *** *** had immediately given us the information to process his refund

This company has not been truthful in our transaction and not fixed any of the issues discussed in the purchase of the vehicle .. still has not fixed emissions and still has NOT ORDERED my plates . I purchased this vehicle over two months ago and they are not professional or follow through on anything they say and have attitude when I inquire about these issues.

Revdex.com REGARDING: COMPLAINT ID: [redacted] DEAR SIR ORMADAM, MR [redacted] DID PURCHASE A 1999 MERCEDES BENZ SL500 FROM ULTIMATE AUTOWHOLESALERS. MR [redacted] FOUND OUR VEHICLE ONLINE AND THROUGH MY WEBSITE. THEREWERE 55-60 PICTURES OF EVERY ASPECT OF THIS VEHCILE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE TOGIVE A VERY CLEAR VIEW OF EVERY ASPECT OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 3WEEKS OF PHONE/EMAIL/TEXTING CONVERSATIONS, WE ARRIVED AT AGREEABLE TERMS FORTHIS 16 YEAR OLD MERCEDES. MR. [redacted] ARRANGED TO HAVE HIS VEHICLE PICKED UPAND TRANSPORTED TO HIS HOME IN LAS VEGAS. THE TRANSPORT DRIVER ARRIVED THEMORNING OF JULY 23, 2015 AND THE VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED TO MR. [redacted] LATE THATAFTERNOON IN LAS VEGAS. MR. [redacted] CALLED [redacted] THE NEXT AFTERNOON AND SAID “THECAR DROVE GREAT” BUT DID HAVE 2 COMPLAINTS. 1) THE RADIO POWER ANTENNAE DID NOT FUNCTION 2) THE SUPPORTS FOR THE TRUNK THAT HOLD IT UP WHENOPENED WERE NOT FUNCTIONINGAFTER SOME DISCUSSION, ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS AGREED TO SEND MR. [redacted] THE TRUNKSUPPORT STRUTS AND A CHECK FOR OUR COST OF THE ANTENNAE. SEVERAL DAYSLATER MR. [redacted] CALLED TO SAY THERE WAS HYDRAULIC FLUID LEAKING FROM THE MECHANISM THAT OPERATED THE CONVERTIBLE TOP AND IT DID NOT FUNCTION. ON JULY 27, 2015 MR [redacted]N HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR FACILITY AND ATTEMPTED TO SELLHIM:1) A NEW ANTENNAE FOR $79.002) A DRIVER MIRROR FOR @213.003) 2 FLIP DOWN SUNVISORS FOR $2480.004) AN A/C IN DASH VENT FOR $884.005) AN INSIDE HOOD PAD FOR $213.006) THE STRUTS TO SUPPORT THE TRUNK FOR $99.007) A USED MERCEDES BENZ ROADSIDE TOOLKIT FOR $99.008) FRONT STRUTS/SHOCKS FOR $466.009) ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION MOUNTS FOR $670.0010) A STEERING SHOCK ABSORBER FOR $97.0011) REPLACEMENT OF ALL HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS THATOPERATE THE CONVERTIBLE TOP FOR $3638.00 (INCLUDING 2 OF WHICH WE HAD REPLACED WITH BRAND NEWMERCEDES BENZ PARTS, PRIOR TO MR. [redacted]’S PURCHASE OF THE CAR) CLAIMING ALL OFTHEM WERE BAD!THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WAS PERFECTLY FUNCTIONALAT THE TIME OF DELIVERY, THERE WERE EVEN ADDITIONAL PICTURES SENT TO MR. [redacted]DISPLAYING THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BOTH UP AND DOWN, PROVING IT WAS FUCNTIONING ASIT SHOULD. AGAIN, AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS DELIVERED TO MR.[redacted], MR. [redacted] CALLED AND SAID “THE CAR DIRIVES GREAT”, AND THE TOP WASFUNCTIONING. HE EVEN MENTIONED THEY DROVE THE CAR OUT TO DINNER THAT NIGHT.THE ALLEGED CONVERTIBLE TOP FAILURE HAPPENED AFTER THE PURCHASE, AFTER THE DELIVERY, AND AFTER BEING DRIVEN. THE FACT OF THEMATTER IS, THE VEHICLE IS 16 YEARS OLD. THIS TYPE OF THING CAN HAPPEN WITH ANY VEHICLE, MUCH LIKE A BATTERY OR A LIGHT BULB. ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS DIDOFFER TO ASSIST MR. [redacted] IN THE REPAIRS AFTER HAVING PRICED OUT THE COST OFPARTS AND WOULD HAVE BEEN DRASTICALLY LOWER IN COST, HOWEVER, MR. [redacted] WOULD ONLY ACCEPT A CHECK FROM ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS FOR $2000, STATING THAT HE COULDHAVE ALL THE PARTS REPAIRED “BY A GUY FROM FLORIDA” FOR $800.SO NOW, TO OUR WONDERMENT, WHYDID HE PRESENT ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS WITH AN ORIGINAL QUOTE DEMANDING $3638FOR THE TOP REPAIR WHEN HIS “GUY FROM FLORIDA” WOULD DO IT FOR $800?? EQUALLY AS CONCERNING IS HOW CAN A VEHICLE THAT “DROVE GREAT” BE INNEED OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF REPAIRS AS PRESENTED BY MR. [redacted]? THE 1999 MERCEDES BENZ SL500 CONVERTIBLE WASOVER $80,000 NEW IN 1999. THE VEHICLE IS 16 YEARS OLD BUT STILL, THIS CALIBEROF VEHICLE IS A MERCEDES, AND CERTAINLY NOT THE LEAST EXPENSIVE ON THE MARKETTO MAINTAIN, BUT AT A SUBSTAINTIALLY DISCOUNTED PURCHASE PRICE OF $10,750 ITWAS A FANTASTIC VALUE FOR SUCH A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE. IN CLOSING, ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS DIDOFFER TO PERFORM THE REPAIRS MENTIONED AT A DRASTICALLY REDUCED COST FOR MR.[redacted] WHICH HE DECLINED. ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS DID MAKE GOOD ON THEIRAGREEMENT TO PROVIDE MR. [redacted] WITH THE PARTS FOR THE TRUNK, AS WELL AS ACHECK FOR THE COST OF THE ANTENNAE. MR [redacted] MAKING THE DIRECT COMMENT, REFERRINGTO HIS SALESMAN [redacted], AND [redacted] AS “TERRORISTS” IS AN “OUT OF TOUCH WITHREALITY” STATEMENT. TO APPLY A DEROGATORY STATEMENT THAT CARRIES SUCH MAGNITUDETO THE PURCHASE OF AN AUTOMOBILE IS BEYOND INAPPROPRIATE AND SLANDEROUS,ESPECIALLY IN OUR WORLD TODAY AND THE REAL TENSIONS CAUSED BY TERRORISM, IT’SCERTAINLY NOT A WORD TO BE SIMPLY THROWN AROUND WITH COMPLETE DISREGARD SUCH ASMR. [redacted] HAS DEMONSTRATED. RESPECTFULLY,[redacted] ULTIMATE AUTO WHOLESALERS

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Att: karinai am in total disagreement with [redacted] response due to the fact the he is incapable of being honest and truthful

Review: They advertised the vehicle as a Touring edition, which is a significantly higher trim level than its actual level of EX-L. I discovered this after putting a deposit of $500 down, which I was repeatedly assured was 100% refundable unconditionally. I found out less than 10 minutes after placing the deposit via credit card, and they assured me that all charges would be reversed. This was on 9/13.

I have left messages since then, and just spoke with a salesperson there, supposedly the father of the salesperson that I dealt with, who refuses to answer his phone or return my calls. Now they refuse to refund my money, claiming that "they can be nasty, too", since I have admittedly grown less patient with their thievery.

Further, they said that the ads (on multiple sites, including [redacted] ([redacted]) and their own web site ([redacted]) were an "innocent mistake made by the computer automatically", but that they would correct them immediately. 10 days later, they all still say "Touring", in a deliberate, fraudulent, misleading way.

See the [redacted] ([redacted]) for confirmation of the EX-L model, *NOT TOURING*.

I have screen shots of the above, should the web pages be inaccessible at some future date.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of my "unconditionally refundable" $500 credit card deposit toward the purposefully misadvertised vehicle.
