I am requesting Ultimate Chimney Sweep replace the entire venting pipe on my pellet stove that they damaged. The pellet stove is less than one year old so I am also requesting that the company who installed this particular pellet stove do the replacement as they have been trained by the company who makes them

I had a person from a cutter replacement company walking around my house and not on the roof.My home is a small ranch and I periodically go up on the roof to blow out leaves from the gutters.While doing this I always give a visual to both the oil flue chimney as well as the fire place chimneyThe fact that you didn't even have the common coutesy to send your service person back for inspection shows that your company cares little about customer satifaction as well as your lack of professionalismThe $1,is purely an estimateYou people are the so called expertsI have a local masonary contractor coming on Saturday (10/25) to give me an estimate for repariring or replacing the crownYou and your company didn't even offer that as an option but felt more inclined to defend your shoddy work.?

To the best of our knowledge this has been resolved. If any questions or concerns please call our office.

As a reputable company we have made every attempt to solve this matter. We asked [redacted] to gather at least 3 quotes in order to fix her ceiling. For a period of 6 month [redacted] was unable to find someone local to fix the water damage. We offered [redacted] $900 in ordered to solve this matter.  [redacted] agreed to the $900 and a check was mailed out. She has had more than enough time to have this fixed since she contacted us with this issue. Ultimate Chimney Sweep has made every effort to contact her and we have been unsuccessful, as she has stated her work of place is very busy and at times has no service. All in all we stick to our decision in the $900 for the damages being fair for both parties involved.

Your company's mission statement is as follows: "Your Family is our First Priority. " & "Helping educate you on Chimney safety."  The last technician from your company that came admitted that the pipes were put on improperly.  Why did the first tech not notice that, why did the 2nd tech not notice that??? I am gravely concerned about the safety of my family due to the service performed by your company.  I had an independent company quote replacement of the now damaged pipe work - the cost is in the range of $500-800 dollars, that does not include replacing the granite slab under the stove that is now stained.  It is deplorable that your company, especially it's owner, is not taking any responsibility for the actions of its untrained employees.  I do not have the funds to get this repair work done after paying your company,  so I am left with a cold home all winter or taking the chance of a house fire or burns by tar.????               Regards,

I still do not believe that our technician bumped or banged your crown wash as you state. It is cement!  and this $1000.00, where are you even coming up with that price? You stated you had gutter people up there and you were up there> I dont even think any of you did it, it is  old and...

deteriorated  that is all, We are not responsible for any damages. All our company did was clean the chimney. There is no possible way that anyone just bumping into the chimney would cause damages.

The company should not be able to provide a service - and charge me $699 -- we did not ask for nor need (according to a licensed plumber) just because they "judged" we needed it.

The technician did take photos and [redacted] had called the office and stated the technician put extra holes in the pipe. we cleaned the chimney we did not replace any pipes so we wouldn't replace the pipes. We would like to come to a resolution on this so I will contact the woodstove company as well as a few others because something just doesn't make sense

Tell u We attempted to solve this matter in a suitable time frame. We asked [redacted] to get several quotes from different companies in order for us to get this resolved. It took [redacted]  about six months to get back to us, when she did she stated she could not find anyone and was just following...

up. Finally she got back to us with a quote which the office manager reviewed. We made several attempts to contact [redacted] by phone leaving messages and also via email and we were unsuccessful. At that time, the quote had already expired. With lack of communication and the expired quote we made several more attempts to contact [redacted] and finally she got back to us, she spoke with the office manager and it was agreed upon we would be releasing her a check for $900.   s why here...

A few days after They were notified by you about the complaint I got a check in tha mail for $900.00, the quote was for $1200, I never agreed to the $900.00 and I have the emails that were sent, this is why I sent an updated quote for the $1200.00 Yes she told me to get a quote and I also let her know that I wasn't having any luck getting a quote so I asked if they knew of someone and I was told no. I don't think that I should have to come up with $300.00 to fix a mistake that wasn't mine.

Please add your rejection comments below. I spoke again with the office manager.  I told her the work was unnecessary and not what we asked for.  I told he the technician had agreed that we didn't need a separation wall because we had a liner - she told me he never said that.  I told her that the plumber had agreed we didn't need the separation wall because we had a liner and it passed with our building inspector and that the technician has confirmed this in each conversation.  She then said "we did do a separation wall. Smoke-tite is a separation wall."  When I asked her to put it in writing she quickly back tracked saying they would not put anything in writing other than the service report they already provided.  She stated many times "you are not getting your money back".  She then proceeded to tell me the conversation was over.  When I protested that we still had the issue that they did unnecessary work she just put me on hold.  I called back and she wouldn't take the call - I had to leave a message.  So we are at the same place.  Ultimate Chimney did work we didn't ask for or need and they refuse to rectify the situation.

I am willing to refund the cleaning because the customer is unhappy with the service  but wont pay to replace a whole liner system  The  customer stated there were holes from screws that were misaligned we took pictures before and after as well as asked for the repair tech...

to take pictures before he repaired  the pipes to the best of my knowledge that was not done. And what was done when the repair tech went out? he replaced the gasket? We don't even know where this stands

Please see attached pictures of what the employee from Ultimate Chimney Sweep Inc. applied to stop the venting pipe from leaking.  Not one of the employees that came to my house from Ultimate Chimney Sweep Inc. took any pictures before or after any of the work was done.  I never stated that there were holes from screws that were misaligned.  The pipe has not been repaired as I am waiting for Ultimate Chimney Sweep Inc. to forward the payment to [redacted]  [redacted]or replacement of the venting on my pellet stove.  I spoke with [redacted], an employee at Ultimate Chimney Sweep Inc. regarding this situation;  I sent an email with the attached Quote from [redacted] on Wednesday, May 18, 2015, I sent a second email inquiring about the quote from the first email as I hadn't received a telephone or email from Ultimate Chimney Sweep Inc. (May 18, 20015),  I send a third email to [redacted] via through [redacted], with attached pictures of the venting on May 22, 2015.   I have attached a scanned copy to this response along with the two pictures.Regards[redacted]

These pipes were not installed by our company we cleaned the chimney and installed a chimney cap  the pipes would not be disassembled to do the cleaning , the holes for screws would not line up and the pipes do not match.

Sir, I have looked at all of the pictures of the crown wash on the top of your chimney, there is no possible way that you can say that any of that is our fault. We did send a technician out the day of your cleaning and he recommended repair to the crown for $225.00. You chose not to have it done, rather you call stating that our technician caused the damage. The technician would have to physically take a hammer or some other tool to make the crown like that. You are right we are the experts and from the pictures you sent as well as the pictures our technician took, you can clearly see that repair is needed. Now on the proposal it states the repair could have been done for $225 not $1000.00 which in all my years as a chimney sweep I have not seen a crown repair cost that much. We are more than happy to set up an appointment to repair your crown for the price of $225.00. Our technicians as well as all employees of this company take great pride in our work and do not appreciate you assuming that we would intentionally leave your chimney this way if we had done any damage. In closing, please feel free to schedule the work to be done otherwise you may contract someone else to do the work at your own expense. You are not obligated to have us do the work. As a follow up to this complaint, as a company who has been in business for 20+ years we stand by our work and we do not dismiss or ignore customer complaints or customer concerns. You did speak with our office manager who tried to solve the problem, than you asked to speak with our technician,...

which at the time he was out on the road. Upon return to the office we had the technician who serviced your property place a call to you and discussed your concerns. The technician stated the job performed was a necessity and agreed upon by your wife. Work performed was discussed and contract was signed off on by your wife before any work was done. We Provided a service which at the time everyone present had agreed upon. We acknowledge your dissatisfaction, however we stand by our professional judgement and our years of experience in this field.
