Review: [redacted], owner and operator of Ultimate Construction, completed work on a war rehabilitation property project for us; which means the property was a home we were giving to a war veteran. He claimed we had agreed to pay $4,355 more than what was written between us. We paid him what we agreed to and he then filed a lein against the property. The result was that in order to clear the lien we were forced to pay his company more than what was agreed. So we did and filed a civil action against him. At this point, he has been paid in full and will not release his lien against the property.Desired Settlement: We would like his lien to be lifted off the house. We can provide copies of full payment to him based on his claims. We will get our money back in our civil action, but at this point he has been paid in full based on his own claims and is required to lift his lien. We as well would like the sum of $4,355 back; to which additional cost we did not agree. We paid the original amount of $16,000.00 to him.
